The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC), Vijayawada has issued Notification No. 27/2025 for the direct recruitment of Junior Accounts Officer (Category-II), Senior Accountant (Category-III), and Junior Accountant (Category-IV) in the A.P. Municipal Accounts Subordinate Service. A total of 11 vacancies are available under this recruitment drive.

Eligible candidates can apply online through the official APPSC website https://psc.ap.gov.in from 09 October 2025 to 29 October 2025 (till 11:00 PM). The recruitment process includes a Written Examination (OMR based, Objective Type) followed by a Computer Proficiency Test (CPT).

Application Fee

  • Processing Fee: ₹250/-
  • Examination Fee: ₹80/-

Exemptions:

  • SC, ST, BC, Persons with Benchmark Disabilities (PBDs), and Ex-Servicemen are exempted from paying the ₹80/- examination fee.
  • Families with white ration cards and unemployed youth (as per G.O.Ms.No.439, dated 18/10/1996) are also exempted from the exam fee (only residents of Andhra Pradesh).
  • Applicants from other states must pay the full fee (₹250 + ₹80).

Mode of Payment:
Online through Net Banking, Debit Card, or Credit Card.

Note:

  • Age Limit: 18–42 years as on 01.07.2025
  • Cut-off Date for Age Calculation: 01 July 2025
  • Age Relaxation: As per APPSC rules (including SC, ST, BC, EWS, Ex-servicemen, Women, and PBD categories).

Steps to Apply:

  1. Register through One Time Profile Registration (OTPR) if not already registered.
  2. Login with OTPR ID and password.
  3. Select Notification No. 27/2025 and click on Apply Online.
  4. Fill in the application form carefully with personal, educational, and category details.
  5. Upload scanned photograph and signature in the prescribed format.
  6. Pay the application fee online through the payment gateway.
  7. Submit and download the filled-in application form for future reference.

At the time of online application and document verification, candidates must keep the following ready:

  • SSC/Matriculation Certificate (for Date of Birth proof)
  • Educational Certificates (Degree in Commerce)
  • Caste Certificate (if applicable)
  • Disability Certificate (for PBD candidates)
  • Ex-servicemen Certificate (if applicable)
  • White Ration Card (for fee exemption, if applicable)
  • Residence/Local Status Certificate
  • Aadhaar/Identity Proof

The selection process consists of:

  1. Written Examination (Objective, OMR-based)
    1. Paper I: General Studies & Mental Ability (150 Marks)
    1. Paper II: Commerce (Accountancy, Cost & Management Accounting, Statistics, IT, and Auditing) (150 Marks)
    1. Total: 300 Marks
    1. Negative Marking: 1/3rd mark deduction for each wrong answer.
  2. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)
    1. Mandatory qualifying test covering Word Processing, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  3. Final Selection: Based on merit in written exam + qualifying CPT, followed by document verification.

Minimum Qualifying Marks:

  • OC, EWS, Ex-Servicemen: 40%
  • BC: 35%
  • SC/ST/PBDs: 30%

  • Applications will be accepted only online.
  • Hall Tickets will be available on the APPSC website.
  • Candidates must not carry mobile phones, smartwatches, calculators, or any electronic gadgets into the exam hall.
  • Multiple applications for the same post will be rejected.
  • Any false information will lead to disqualification and possible debarment.
