IOCL is offering 509 apprenticeship positions for candidates having ITI, Diploma, Graduation, and 12th qualification in relevant trades to be engaged as Trade Apprentice, Technician Apprentice, Graduate Apprentice, and Data Entry Operator (Fresher/Skilled Certificate holders).

Post Name / Pay Scale
The apprenticeship stipend will be paid as per provisions of the Apprentices Act, 1961/1973 and Apprentices Rules 1992/2019/2025, as amended from time to time.
The exact stipend amount for each category of apprentice will be communicated at the time of engagement and will be payable every month during the training period.
Educational Qualification (Main Categories)
- Trade Apprentice (ITI Trades – Fitter, Electrician, Electronics Mechanic, Instrument Mechanic, Machinist – various discipline codes):
Matric (10th) with a full-time 2-year ITI in the relevant trade from NCVT/SCVT-recognized institute. - Technician Apprentice (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Civil, Electrical & Electronics, Electronics – Diploma disciplines):
3-year full-time Diploma in a relevant Engineering discipline with at least 50% marks for General/EWS/OBC-NCL and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates from a recognized Institute/University. - Graduate Apprentice:
Regular full-time Graduation in any discipline (BA/B.Com/B.Sc/BBA) with a minimum 50% marks for General/EWS/OBC-NCL and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD candidates from a recognized University/Institute. - Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Fresher):
Class 12th (but below Graduate) with a minimum of 50% marks for General/EWS/OBC-NCL and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD from a recognized Board/Institute. - Trade Apprentice – Data Entry Operator (Skilled Certificate Holders):
Class 12th (but below Graduate) with a minimum of 50% marks for General/EWS/OBC-NCL and 45% for SC/ST/PwBD plus Skill Certificate of “Domestic Data Entry Operator” (training less than 1 year) from an awarding body recognized under NSQF or by the Central Government.
Age Limit
- Minimum Age: 18 years as on 31/12/2025
- Maximum Age: 24 years as on 31/12/2025
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: Relaxation of 5 years (upper age up to 29 years)
- OBC-NCL: Relaxation of 3 years (upper age up to 27 years)
- PwBD (General/EWS): Relaxation of 10 years (upper age up to 34 years)
- PwBD (SC/ST): Relaxation of 15 years (upper age up to 39 years)
- PwBD (OBC-NCL): Relaxation of 13 years (upper age up to 37 years)
Cut-off Date for Age and Qualification
- For both age and educational qualification, the cut-off date is 31 December 2025; only candidates fulfilling the age and qualification criteria as of this date will be considered.
- For Graduate and Technician Apprentices, eligible candidates must have acquired the prescribed qualification between 01/04/2022 and 31/12/2025, while for Trade Apprentices (ITI/Data Entry Operator), the qualification should be obtained between 01/04/2021 and 31/12/2025.
Essential Eligibility Conditions
- The educational qualification must be from a recognized University/Institute as a full-time regular course in the relevant discipline; part-time, correspondence, or distance-learning qualifications are not eligible.
Candidates having higher professional qualifications, such as a BE/B. Tech, MBA, MCA, CA/ICWA, LLB or equivalent, or who have completed such higher qualifications before joining an apprenticeship, are not eligible to apply for these apprentice posts. - Where CGPA/OGPA or Letter Grade is awarded, candidates must enter the equivalent aggregate percentage as per the norms of their Board/University/Institute.
Candidates with a Diploma under lateral entry in the relevant trade/discipline are also eligible if they meet the required percentage of marks.

Selection Process: IOCL Apprentices Hiring 2025
IOCL will follow a merit-based, transparent process without conducting a written examination or an interview for these apprentice posts.
