Section Officer Horticulture (MCD) 89 A required qualification includes a degree in Agriculture or in Science with Botany as a subject from a recognized university or its equivalent.

Desirable Criteria:

Preference will be given to candidates with experience in the field of Ornamental Horticulture or Landscape Gardening.

(Age Limit- 18- 27Year)

Section Officer Horticulture (NDMC) 19 A first-class or second-class degree in B.Sc. (Agriculture) is essential, accompanied by a minimum of two years of experience in Ornamental Horticulture or Landscaping within Government, Semi-Government, or reputed organizations.

(Age Limit- 18- 32Year)

Note:

·         Salary- ₹35400- 112400.

·         Age relaxation is extra as per norms.

1.       Before applying online, ensure registration on DSSSB’s portal at https://dsssbonline.nic.in. Registration details are available on the Board’s website (Annexure-II). Registration is a one-time process, and the generated user ID and password should be used for all DSSSB examinations. Multiple registrations will lead to cancellation and debarment.

2.       Eligible candidates can apply online at https://dsssbonline.nic.in from January 9, 2024, to February 7, 2024 (until 11:59 PM). The link will be disabled after the deadline.

3.       Carefully follow the INSTRUCTIONS FOR APPLYING ONLINE while filling out the application form for the respective post.

4.       Submit applications only through the Online Mode; other modes will not be accepted. Applications via post, hand, mail, etc., will be rejected. No correspondence will be entertained in this regard.

5.       The online application submission starts on 09/01/2024, and the deadline is 07/02/2024 (11:59 pm).

6.       To avoid last-minute issues, submit applications well before the closing date. DSSSB is not responsible for issues preventing timely submissions beyond candidates’ control.

7.        Before submission, double-check all details in the online application. Once submitted, no changes or corrections (including category changes) will be allowed. Requests via post, fax, email, or by hand will not be entertained. Candidates are accountable for any errors in the application data and pay fees.

1.       Candidates’ marks in the Computer-Based Examination will be normalized, if required, using the formula specified by DSSSB (Notice No. 10 (271)/Sec.Cell/DSSSB/18/989 dated 11.07.2018 – Annexure-III). Normalized scores will determine the final merit and selection.

2.       If any question(s) in the exam is deemed invalid, those questions won’t be evaluated, and the candidate’s marks will be calculated on a prorated basis.

3.       Draft Answer Keys will be displayed on DSSSB’s website after the examination. Candidates can submit objections online within the stipulated time. Objections through other modes won’t be entertained.

4.       Minimum qualifying marks for different categories:

·         General/EWS: 40%

·         OBC (Delhi): 35%

·         SC/ST/PH (PwD): 30%

·         Ex-servicemen get a 5% relaxation, subject to a minimum of 30%.

5.       DSSSB reserves the right to set minimum cutoff marks as per candidate availability.

6.       If candidates in the same category have equal marks:

·         Higher marks in Section B lead to a higher merit.

·         If tied, the senior candidate in age is placed higher.

·         If ages are the same, alphabetical order determines merit.

7.       Final selection is based on Tier-II Examination performance, candidate preferences, and eligibility as per Recruitment Rules.

8.       Preferences confirmed by candidates during e-dossier submission are final and irreversible.

9.       Final post/department allocation is based on merit-cum-preferences; no change is allowed once allocated.

10.   Vacancies reported by the User Department until shortlisting will be considered for recruitment.

11.    Reserved category candidates selected on merit won’t be adjusted against reserved vacancies. Reserved vacancies will be filled separately.

12.   A disabled person selected on merit can be appointed against an unreserved vacancy if suitable for the relevant category.

13.   Provisional selection doesn’t guarantee appointment; the Appointing Authority must confirm suitability.

14.   Applicants should ensure eligibility for the desired department.

15.   Admission at all stages is provisional; if found ineligible at any time, the candidature will be canceled.

1.       The Board selects candidates based on user department-reported vacancies. The Board is not responsible for deciding the number of vacancies, and advertised vacancies may vary without compensation for any consequential damage/loss.

2.       User departments handle the reservation policy, roster maintenance, vacancy earmarking, and suitability identification for various benchmark disabilities. DSSSB considers post suitability under the RPwD Act, 2016, or as User Departments indicate.

3.       DSSSB reserves the right to cancel or modify the advertisement at any stage.

4.       Examination centers are in Delhi/NCR only.

5.       The Board may cancel or modify the examination process due to administrative reasons or irregularities. It reserves the right to change examination centers without accepting date, time, or center change requests.

6.       In case of inadvertent errors in the advertisement, the final result will be based on Recruitment Rules, DoPT guidelines, the Board’s website schemes, and prevailing GNCTD and GOI guidelines.

7.       The Board can change or amend the examination scheme before the examination if required.

8.       The candidate’s examination candidature is provisional and subject to legal outcomes. Mere Admit Card issuance or exam appearance does not guarantee a claim for the post.

10.   Use of electronic devices is prohibited in the examination center.

11.   Possession of unauthorized gadgets/instruments leads to debarment and legal proceedings.

12.   Dress code: Light clothes with half sleeves, no big buttons or accessories, slippers or sandals with low heels (no shoes).

13.   In case of discrepancies among language versions, the English version is final.
