A& N Graduate Trained GTT (TGT) Recruitment 2023

Director of Education, Andaman & Nicobar Administration

1.       Four years integrated course B.A-B.Ed. / B.Sc.-B.Ed. with at least 50% marks.

2.       Bachelor’s Degree with 50% marks in the concerned subject or Graduation with 45% marks and one-year B.Ed.

3. Post-graduation with a minimum of 55% marks and a year integrated B.Ed.-M.Ed.

Education Degree:

1.       Bachelor’s Degree in Education from a recognized University.

2.       One-year Bachelor of Education (Special Education).

Central Teacher Eligibility:

·         Pass Paper II of the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).

Language Proficiency:

1.       Passed Hindi in class 8th standard.

2.       Passed Hindi/English/Bengali/Tamil/Telugu in class X.

Subject-Specific Requirements:

·         For GTT (Language) – Main language at the Graduation level.

·         For GTT (Mathematics) – Mathematics is the main subject at the Bachelor’s Degree level.

·         For GTT (Physical Science) – Physics/Chemistry as main subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level.

·         For GTT (Life Science) – Botany/Zoology as main subjects at Bachelor’s Degree level.

Online Application Process:

1.       Register and fill up the application form at https://edurec.andaman.gov.in.

2.       Application submission starts on 09-12-2023 and closes on 30-12-2023 (midnight).

3.       Provide mandatory details; ensure photograph and signature file sizes comply.

4.       Annexure documents’ file size: 20KB to 5MB; format: .jpg, .jpeg, or .pdf.

5.       Merge semester mark sheets into a single PDF document.

4.       Verify and upload all requisite documents; missing documents will not be entertained.

Submission of Hard Copy:

1.       After online submission, take a printout of the application form with attachments.

2.       Submit the hard copy, including educational certificates and supporting documents, by 02-01-2024 (3:00 P.M.).

3.       Ensure proper document organization, no stapling, or pagination, and obtain acknowledgment from the receiving officer with date and seal.

Other Instructions to the Candidates:

1.       Affix a recent passport-size photograph on the hard copy of the application form, self-attested by the candidate.

2.       Enclose self-attested Xerox copies of applicable certificates with the hard copy of the application form:

·         Class X and Class XII mark sheets and pass certificates.

·         Complete mark sheets and provisional/degree certificates of Bachelor’s Degree, B.Ed., Integrated BA-B.Ed./B.Sc.-B.Ed., Master’s Degree, M.Ed./M.Phil./Ph.D.

·         CTET (Paper-II) mark sheet.

·         Additional educational qualifications and degree certificates

·         Experience certificates (countersigned by DEO/AEO/Zonal Officer)

·         Documentary proof of Hindi knowledge

·         OBC certificates with valid non-creamy layer certificate

·         No objection certificate for government servants

·         EWS certificate issued by competent authority

3.       No additional documents/certificates will be accepted after the submission of the application.

4.       OBC candidates must submit separate caste and non-creamy layer certificates.

5.       Government employees must apply through the online portal and submit the hard copy with supporting documents through proper channels.

6.       Eligibility conditions are determined as of the closing date (30-12-2023); date of birth from Class X/Matriculation certificate.

7.       Disability certificate (issued by competent authority) should indicate a disability percentage of at least 40%.

8.       Name change after secondary school requires a copy of the Gazette notification and published paper cutting.

9.       Experience marks calculated based on full-time (0.2 marks per month) and part-time (0.1 marks per month) service in a recognized institution. Honorary teaching service is not considered.

10.   Teaching experience certificates must be supported by relevant appointment orders and countersigned by appropriate authorities.

11.   Age relaxation for government servants requires a service certificate indicating continuous service of more than three years.

12.   Any false information/certificates/documents may lead to rejection or termination at any stage of the recruitment process.

13. The vacancy number is tentative and subject to approval.

14.   Grade points to percentage conversion must be supported by the university’s conversion table or the department’s criteria.

15.   Degrees/diplomas should be from recognized institutions.

16.   Equivalent educational qualifications are determined by the expert committee/competent authority.

17.   The competent authority may cancel or postpone recruitment on administrative grounds.

18.   Selection is solely based on academic weightage, and no personal interview will be conducted.

19.   All educational qualifications should be in chronological order; overlapping qualifications are not considered.

20.   Matters not specified are decided by the recruitment committee or high-power selection committee.

21.   Ensure timely submission of duly filled applications; no postal applications or date change requests will be entertained.
