The Andhra Pradesh Public Service Commission (APPSC) has released APPSC Notification 06/2025 inviting applications for Forest Beat Officer (FBO) and Assistant Beat Officer (ABO) positions under the A.P. Forest Subordinate Service. 🔹 Step 1: OTPR Registration

  • Visit the official APPSC website: https://psc.ap.gov.in
  • Click on One Time Profile Registration (OTPR).
  • Fill in all your personal, educational, and contact details accurately.
  • Upon successful registration, a User ID will be generated and sent to your registered email and phone number.

🔹 Step 2: Log in and Access the Application

  • Log in using your OTPR ID and password.
  • Go to the Online Application Submission section.
  • Select the Notification No. 06/2025 for Forest Beat Officer / Assistant Beat Officer posts.

🔹 Step 3: Fill Application Form

  • Enter all required fields, including:
    • Local/Non-local status
    • Educational qualifications
    • White card (ration card) details

The APPSC selection process for FBO/ABO positions consists of the following stages:

🔸 1. Screening Test (Only if applicants > 200x vacancies)

  • Objective-type OMR-based preliminary test
  • Qualifying in nature
  • Negative marking: ⅓ per wrong answer

🔸 2. Main Written Examination

  • Objective-type (offline)
  • Final merit is based on this exam score
  • Syllabus includes General Studies, Mental Ability, and relevant subjects

🔸 3. Walking Test (Qualifying Only)

  • Men: 25 km in 4 hours
  • Women: 16 km in 4 hours

🔸 4. Medical Examination

  • Conducted by the Medical Board at Rajamahendravaram
  • The candidate must be physically fit and vaccinated

🔸 5. Computer Proficiency Test (CPT)

  • Mandatory to qualify
  • Assesses candidate’s computer knowledge and typing skills

🔸 6. Bonus Marks (if applicable)

  • NCC “C” Certificate: 5 marks
  • NCC “B” Certificate: 3 marks
  • NCC “A” Certificate: 1 mark

Final selection will be made based on the Main Exam Score + NCC bonus, subject to qualifying for the physical and medical tests.
