1. Valid Contact Details:

• Ensure a valid personal email ID and mobile number are provided.
• These must remain active for at least one year.
• Important communications like the application number and password will be sent to these.

2. Accurate Information:

• Fill in the correct details while applying online.
• Editing is only allowed before submission. After submission, no changes can be made.

3.       Application Process:

Step 1: Register personal and contact details, and select the post. User ID and password will be sent via SMS.

Step 2: Fill in details such as qualifications and test city preference, and upload the required documents (photo, signature, certificates, etc.). Pay the application fee online via Net Banking, Debit/ Credit Cards, or UPI.

4.       Important Notes:

• Applications, once submitted, cannot be withdrawn.
• Fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Steps for Registration and Application

1.       Step I: Registration

• Fill in the required details (personal, contact, and post details) and press the “Generate OTP” button.
• Enter the OTP sent to the registered mobile number to verify.
• Agree to the terms and conditions, check the declaration box, and click “Submit.”
• Receive Application Sequence No. (User ID) & Password via SMS.

2.       Step II: Filling Qualification Details

• Log in using User ID and Password.
• Fill in Qualification Details, Test City Preference, and complete the declaration.
• Submit the form to proceed to the document upload step.

3.       Step III: Upload Documents

• Upload required documents like a recent photo, signature, and qualification documents (if applicable).
• Ensure the photo (50KB-100KB, JPEG format) and signature (50KB- 100KB, black ink on white paper) meet specifications.
• Preview and confirm all details before submission.

4.       Step IV: Application Fee Payment

• Pay the application fee online using Net Banking, debit/ credit cards, or UPI.
• Fee:
• ₹1180 for UR/ OBC/ EWS candidates.
• No fee for SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen/ PwBD candidates.
• Save the transaction number for future reference.

5.       Post Payment Submission

• After successful payment, print and save the submitted application form for future use.

6.       Important Instructions

• Avoid multiple applications for the same post; only the latest valid application will be considered.
• Retain the application form and payment details for future reference.
• For technical issues, use the Grievance Portal available in the application portal.

Selection Process: BEL Probationary Engineer Job 2025

1.       Shortlisting for Computer- Based Test (CBT):

• Candidates meeting the qualifying criteria and with accepted applications will be provisionally shortlisted for CBT.
• Minimum qualifying marks:
• General/ OBC/ EWS: 35%
• SC/ ST/ PwBD: 30% (in CBT and interview separately).

2.       Shortlisting for Interview:

• Based on CBT performance, candidates will be shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio for the interview.
• Selection weightage:
• CBT: 85 marks
• Interview: 15 marks

3.       Call Letter for CBT:

• Candidates must log in to the BEL website to download and print their call letters.
• Call letters will not be sent via email or postal mail.

4.       CBT Details:

• Tentative schedule: March 2025.
• Duration: 120 minutes.
• Questions: 125 (100 technical and 25 general aptitude/reasoning).
• Marking:
• +1 mark for correct answers.
• -0.25 marks for wrong answers.
• No marks for unattempted or “marked for review” questions.
• Language: bilingual (English and Hindi; the English version prevails in case of discrepancies).

5.       Test Center Allocation:

• Candidates must select the five nearest test centers during application.
• Center allocation is based on availability; changes are not allowed.
• Travel costs for attending CBT are not reimbursed.
