Border Security Force (BSF)

The Border Security Force (BSF), under the Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India, has invited online applications from meritorious sports persons for the post of Constable (General Duty) in Group “C” under Sports Quota. Both male and female candidates from across India are eligible. This is an exceptional opportunity for athletes with outstanding records at national or international level competitions.

Selected candidates will be governed by the BSF Act 1968 and BSF Rule 1969, with all-India liability and the possibility of posting abroad. The post is non-gazetted and non-ministerial, offered temporarily, likely to be permanent.

🎯 Sports Qualification

• Participation or medals in International/National level competitions from 21/08/2023 to 20/08/2025.
• Must be a playing member of the team (for team events).
• Only the highest medal/position in the last 2 years will be considered for scoring.

🧪 Selection Process: BSF Constable GD Recruitment 2025

🟢 Step-by-Step Procedure:

1. Scrutiny of Documents and Online Profile
   • Candidates securing a minimum of 12 marks from sports achievements will proceed to the next stage.
   • Marks are awarded as per the type of medal and level of competition (refer to Para 4b(iii) in the notification).
2. Documentation & Biometric Verification
   • Original certificates verified.
   • Submission of attested photocopies.
   • Biometric capture and identity verification.
3. Physical Standard Test (PST)
   • Height, Chest (for males), Weight as per standards.
   • Relaxations available for specific categories (Garhwali, Dogra, ST, etc.)
4. Merit List Preparation
   • Based on the highest sports achievement.
   • Tie-breaking is based on medal level, age, and name order.
5. Detailed Medical Examination (DME)
   • As per the latest MHA guidelines.
   • Candidates declared unfit can appeal for a Review Medical Examination (RME).
6. Final Selection
   • Subject to merit, physical standards, and medical fitness.
