CSIR UGC NET JRF Exam June 2024 notification The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research and the National Testing Agency (NTA) have announced the CSIR UGC NET / JRF Exam for June 2024. If you want to take this exam, you can apply online from May 1, 2024, to May 21, 2024. CSIR UGC NET JRF Exam June 2024 Eligibility  and Qualification Details

Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR)

  1. General/ Unreserved/ General-EWS candidates need 55% marks in Master’s Degree for eligibility. OBC (Non-Creamy Layer)/ SC/ ST/  PwD candidates need 50% marks.
  2. Candidates currently pursuing or awaiting results of a Master’s degree can apply provisionally. They must pass with the required marks within specified timeframes.
  3. Third-gender category candidates get a similar fee, age, and eligibility relaxations as SC/ST/PwD categories.
  4. Ph.D. degree holders before 1991 can apply with 50% marks aggregate.
  5. No need to send certificates/documents with the application. Eligibility must be verified by candidates; NTA will cancel ineligible candidatures.
  6. Candidates with foreign degrees must verify equivalence with Indian universities through AIU.
  7. Candidates with 4-year bachelor’s degrees need 75% marks or equivalent for eligibility. Relaxations apply to certain categories.
  8. NET qualifiers with a four-year bachelor’s degree are eligible for JRF and Ph.D. admission but not Assistant Professor roles.
  9. Final-year candidates of four-year bachelor’s programs can apply provisionally but must fulfill requirements within specified timeframes.
  10. Four-year bachelor’s Degree holders can choose any subject for Ph.D. pursuit regardless of their bachelor’s degree discipline.

CSIR UGC NET JRF Exam June 2024 Stipend

  1. JRF selected through CSIR-NET receives Rs. 37,000/- per month for the first two years plus an annual grant of Rs. 20,000/-.
  2. After two years, if registered for Ph.D., JRF is upgraded to SRF (NET) with a stipend of Rs. 42,000/- per month, subject to assessment by an Expert Committee.
  3. If not upgraded, JRF will continue with a Rs. 37,000/- per month stipend or may face termination based on committee recommendations.
  4. The research progress of JRF is evaluated by a three-member assessment committee at the end of the third year for possible up-gradation.
  5. The limited number of fellowships available for each subject.
Note:
·         Upper age limit: 30 Years.
·         No upper age limit if applying for Assistant Professor and for admission to PhD.
·         Age relaxation is extra as per norms.
·         Cut –off date for age calculation: 01/06/2024

  2. Submitting multiple forms for the same course leads to rejection of all forms.

  6. Prepare necessary documents including certificates, address details, choice of exam centers, subject code, and scanned images of photograph and signature.

Photograph size should be between 10 kb to 200 kb, and signature size should be between 4 kb to 30 kb in JPG format.

CSIR UGC NET JRF Exam June 2024 General Instructions

1.       Read and follow the instructions on the Admit Card carefully for the examination.

2.       Bring the following documents to the test center: Admit Card, passport size photograph (same as uploaded during application), valid government photo ID, and PwD certificate if applicable.

3.       Avoid carrying prohibited items to the Examination Centre.

4.        Arrive at the Examination Centre on time to avoid any issues.

5.        Report at the center before the reporting time; entry stops 30 minutes before the exam starts.

6.        Late entry to the exam premises is not allowed.

7.        Biometric information will be collected; cooperate with security checks.

8.        Admit Cards must be shown for entry into the Examination room/hall.

9.        Sit on the allotted seat immediately upon entering the Examination hall.

10.    Changing a room/ hall or seat without authorization will cancel the candidature.

11.    Sign and paste the photograph on the Attendance Sheet.

12.    Ensure the question paper matches the opted Examination; notify the Invigilator if there’s any discrepancy.

13.    Use the provided rough sheets for calculations/writing during the test.

14.    Remain seated until the full duration of the paper is over unless permitted by the Invigilator.

15.    Only registered candidates are allowed at the Examination Centre; no accompanying friends or relatives.

16.    Candidates must bear their expenses for attending the exam.

17.    Follow NTA rules and regulations during the Examination; cases of unfair means will be dealt with accordingly.

18.    Applications with false information will be rejected, and candidates may be debarred from future NTA examinations.

19.    NTA reserves the right to withdraw permission to ineligible candidates even if an Admit Card has been issued.

20.    NTA’s interpretation of instructions/ rules/ terms regarding eligibility and exam conduct is final and binding.
