The Directorate of Education, UT Administration of Dadra & Nagar Haveli and Daman & Diu, under Samagra Shiksha, invites applications for the appointment of Primary School Teachers (PST) and Upper Primary School Teachers (UPST) on a Short Term Contract (STC) basis.

This recruitment is aimed at strengthening inclusive and multilingual education across government schools in the UT. Eligible candidates passionate about shaping young minds through modern pedagogy and equity-focused education are encouraged to apply.

Selected candidates will receive a consolidated monthly remuneration of ₹23,000/-.

🧾 Educational Qualifications

✅ For Primary School Teacher (Class I–V)

  • Senior Secondary (Class XII) with at least 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • OR Senior Secondary with 45% marks + 2-year Diploma (per NCTE 2002 norms)
  • OR Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed)
  • OR Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • OR Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed (with mandatory bridge course)
  • Must have passed CTET/TET (Central or State) and studied in the concerned medium at the secondary level

✅ For Upper Primary School Teacher (Class VI–VIII)

  • Graduation + 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education
  • OR Graduation/Post-Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed
  • OR Graduation with 45% marks + B.Ed (per NCTE norms)
  • OR Senior Secondary with 50% marks + 4-year B.El.Ed / B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed / B.Com.Ed
  • OR Graduation with 50% marks + B.Ed (Special Education)
  • Must have passed CTET/TET and studied the medium at the secondary level (except language subjects)

🔸 Subject-specific qualifications apply (e.g., B.Sc. for Science & Maths, B.A. for Languages & Social Science).

⏳ Age Limit

  • Not exceeding 30 years

📌 Separate applications must be submitted for PST and UPST posts.

  • Self-attested recent photograph
  • Age & identity proof (Aadhaar, DOB certificate)
  • SSC, HSC, Graduation, PG mark sheets & degrees
  • Professional qualifications (B.Ed, D.El.Ed, etc.)
  • TET/CTET scorecard (valid at the time of recruitment)
  • Caste/PH certificate (if applicable)
  • Experience certificates
  • Medium of study proof (SSC level)

Selection will be strictly merit-based:

  1. Screening of submitted applications
  2. Scrutiny of educational credentials and reservation claims
  3. Preparation of merit list
  4. Verification of original documents
  5. Contractual appointment based on merit and post availability

💡 There will be no written exam or interview. Preference may be given to local domiciles with relevant qualifications.

  • Applications must be submitted in the prescribed format only in hard copy
  • Separate applications for Primary & Upper Primary posts are mandatory
  • Incomplete applications or incorrect documents will lead to disqualification
  • The appointment is purely contractual under Samagra Shiksha
  • No future claim for permanent employment shall be entertained

  • TET/CTET must be valid as on the date of application

Can I apply for both PST and UPST posts?
