DRDO RCI JRF RA Recruitment 2024: General Conditions and How to Apply

Defence Research & Development Organization (DRDO)

1. Candidates must have attained the essential qualifications and been awarded the degree on or before 31st Aug 2024 to be eligible to apply for DRDO RCI JRF RA Recruitment 2024.
2. As of 15th Sep 2024, the age limit is 35 years for general candidates, with a relaxation of up to 5 years for SC/ST and 3 years for OBC candidates as per GoI norms.
3. Candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria must not apply to DRDO RCI JRF RA Recruitment 2024.
4. Eligible candidates must send their offline application in the prescribed format, duly typed, along with self-attested copies of educational qualifications and experience certificates. Superscribe the envelope with “APPLICATION FOR THE VACANCY OF RESEARCH ASSOCIATE” and send via SPEED POST to:
   • Head HRD, DR. APJ Abdul Kalam Missile Complex, Research Centre Imarat (RCI), PO-Vignyana Kancha, Hyderabad, Telangana – 500 069 within 30 days from the next day of advertisement publication.
5. Candidates working in government/ public sector/ autonomous bodies must provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview if called.
6. Selected candidates must produce all original testimonials related to education and community certificates (if applicable) for verification and submit photocopies along with a copy of the Aadhaar card and two recent passport-size photographs at the time of joining. Failure to do so will result in cancellation of the selection.
7. Candidates will be informed of further procedures via email/telephone.
8. Monthly stipends will be provided as per GoI norms (as per Min. of Defence (Fin/ R&D) letter No. 01/ RD/ HRD/ 89-90/ 751/ D(R&D) dated 8th Aug 2023).
9. The Research Associate position will be awarded for two years only.
10. The selection process of DRDO RCI JRF RA Recruitment 2024 will involve scrutinizing details and research experience. Short-listed candidates will be called for an interview.
11. No TA/DA will be paid for attending tests, document verification, interviews, or joining.
12. The offer of the Research Associate position does not confer any right of absorption in DRDO.
13. The period served as a research associate will not count for any future posts in DRDO or other government departments.
14. Admission to the selection process is entirely at the selection committee’s discretion, and no candidate has the right to claim admission.

7. Candidates will receive a monthly stipend as per GoI norms (Ministry of Defence (Fin/ R&D) letter No. 01/ RD/ HRD/ 89-90/ 751/D (R&D) dated 08th Aug 2023).
8. The fellowship will be awarded for an initial period of two years, with the possibility of upgrading to a Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) for an additional year based on performance evaluation.
9. Selection for DRDO RCI JRF RA Recruitment 2024 will be based on the scrutiny of marks, percentages, and scores. Shortlisted candidates will be called for a written test/ interview.
10. No TA/ DA will be provided for attending the interview or joining if selected.
11. The fellowship does not guarantee employment or absorption in DRDO.
12. The service period as a research fellow will not be counted for any DRDO or government posts.
13. Admission to the selection process is not guaranteed and is at the selection committee’s discretion.
