1.       Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.

2.       Registration: Candidates must be registered and approved on the National Apprenticeship Training Scheme (NATS 2.0) portal and by the Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT).

3.       Educational Qualification:

o    Engineering Graduates in the following streams are eligible:

§  Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Electrical & Electronics, Chemical, Electronics & Telecommunication, Instrumentation, Computer Science, IT, and Petroleum Engineering.

o    Graduation must be completed on or after 01-04-2022. Candidates who graduated before this date are not eligible.

4.       Minimum Marks:

o    General/OBC-NC/EWS: 60% aggregate in all years/ semesters.

o    SC/ST/PwBD: 50% aggregate in all years/ semesters.

o    CGPA/GPA or grade points must be converted to percentages as per university/institution norms and documented with a certificate during the interview.

5.       Recognition of Qualifications: All qualifications must be recognized by the Board of Technical Education, UGC, AICTE, or equivalent authority.

6.       Age Limit:

o    Minimum: 18 years

o    Maximum: 25 years (as of 30-12-2024)

o    Relaxation:

§  SC/ST: 5 years

§  OBC: 3 years

§  PwBD: 10 years

7.       Reservation: Relaxations in eligibility, age, and reservation for SC/ST/OBC-NC/EWS/PwBD (with 40% or above disability) are as per the Government Guidelines/Apprentices Act, 1961.

8.       Previous Apprenticeship:

o    Candidates who have been engaged previously as apprentices or are undergoing apprenticeship training elsewhere and have an existing contract on the NATS portal are not eligible.

o    Candidates with work experience of 1 year or more are also not eligible.

9.       Application Deadline: Only applications submitted on the HPCL Portal before 13-01-2025 will be considered.

1.       Shortlisting for Interview:

o    Candidates meeting the eligibility criteria will be called for an interview based on a category-wise and position-wise merit list.

o    The merit list will be prepared as per cut-off marks decided by HPCL.

o    HPCL reserves the right to limit the number of candidates for the interview, which is tentatively scheduled for January/February 2025.

2.       Merit List:

o    An all-India merit list will be prepared based on:

§  Academic performance in the engineering degree.

§  Scores obtained in the interview.

3.       Final Offer:

o    Final selection is subject to:

§  Medical fitness as per HPCL standards.

§  Submission of required documents, including proof of age, qualifications, caste, medical fitness, and PwBD certificate (if applicable).

1.       No Employment Assurance:

o    HPCL does not guarantee permanent or temporary employment after the successful completion of the apprenticeship period.

2.       Relaxation/Preference in Recruitment:

o    Successful apprentices will be eligible for the following relaxations in future HPCL recruitment:

§  Age Relaxation: Equivalent to the apprenticeship period (up to 1 year).

§  Additional Marks: 5% grace marks in the Computer Based Test (CBT), added to the total CBT score for shortlisting.

o    Note: These relaxations do not guarantee recruitment or selection.

3.       Furnishing False Information:

o    Providing false information will result in disqualification.

o    If discrepancies are found after the engagement, the apprenticeship will be terminated without notice.

o    Canvassing at any stage will lead to cancellation of candidature.

4.       Training Location:

o    Apprentices will be placed for training at locations across India.

o    Only candidates willing to work at any location in India should apply.

2.       Stipend:

o    Monthly stipend of ₹25,000 (₹20,500 by HPCL, ₹4,500 via GOI DBT scheme).

o    No housing or additional allowances are provided.

3.       Reservation and Caste Certificate:

o    Reserved category candidates must submit valid SC/ST/OBC-NC/EWS/PwBD certificates in prescribed format.

o    OBC certificates must state “non-creamy layer” and comply with Central Government lists.

o    Certificates issued in languages other than Hindi/English must be self-certified with translations.
