HPPSC Constable Recruitment 2024: How  to Apply

1.  Candidates must apply online for HPPSC Constable Recruitment 2024 through the official HPPSC website: http://www.hppsc.hp.gov.in/hppsc. Applications through other modes will not be accepted.

2. Visit the official website and click the “Apply Online” link on the homepage. If you haven’t already registered, register using ” One-Time Registration (OTR).” After logging in, choose the desired post and select one district for the Physical Standard Test and Written Test. Upload the required documents.

3. Ensure that all uploaded documents are legible and true. Before submission, the candidate must certify the quality and readability of the uploaded documents. No changes or document submissions will be allowed after the application is submitted.

4. The application is successfully submitted only after the fee is paid and acknowledged. Applications with blurred photos or signatures will be rejected.

5. No changes can be made once the application is submitted for HPPSC Constable Recruitment 2024.

HPPSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Recruitment Process

Himachal Pradesh Public Service Commission (HPPSC)

1. Physical Test:

• The Physical Standard Test (PST) and Physical Efficiency Test (PET) will be conducted by the Himachal Pradesh Police Department.
• The list of qualified candidates with height marks will be sent to the Commission.

2. Written Test:

• Candidates who pass the physical Test will take an offline multiple-choice objective-type written exam (2 hours, 90 marks) with a negative mark.
• The Commission will conduct the exam.

3. Evaluation & Document Verification:

• Candidates passing both the Physical and Written Tests will be shortlisted based on the zone of consideration.
• Document verification will be done by the Police Department, which will also award marks for NCC certificates.

4. Medical Examination:

• The Himachal Pradesh Police Department will conduct the Medical Examination after receiving recommendations from the HPPSC.

• The final merit list will be based on written exam marks, PST height marks, and evaluation.

Recruitment Process for Female Constables:

1. Physical Test:

• Same as above (PST and PET conducted by the Police Department, list sent to the Commission).

2. Written Test:

• Same as above (2-hour offline multiple-choice test, 90 marks, negative marking).

3. Evaluation & Document Verification:

• Same as above (shortlisting and verification by the Police Department, marks for NCC certificates awarded).

4. Medical Examination:

• Same as above (Medical Examination conducted by the Police Department).

HPPSC Constable Recruitment 2024: Important Instructions

1.  Read the instructions carefully on the Commission’s website before applying.

2. Ensure you possess the essential qualifications per the advertisement’s eligibility criteria.

3. Eligibility for qualifications and experience will be determined by the closing date for submitting Online Recruitment Applications (ORA).

4.  Verify your eligibility (category, experience, age, qualifications) by uploading the necessary certificates, including matriculation, category, and Bonafide H.P. certificates, before the ORA closing date.

5.  Candidates must have passed matriculation and +2 from institutions in Himachal Pradesh (except for Bonafide Himachalis).

6.  Reservation benefits are available only for bonafide residents of Himachal Pradesh for applicable categories (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, WFF, Ex-SM, etc.).

7.  Choose one district for the physical and written test in the online application form, as no changes will be allowed later.

8. Persons with disabilities (PwDs) are not eligible.

9. Government/ semi- government employees must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer for document verification.

10. Provide the correct email and mobile number in the ORA for exam alerts and messages.

11. Optionally, provide your Aadhaar number in the ORA.

12. Carry an E-admit card to the physical test, written examination, or document verification. For errors in the E-admit card, contact the Commission’s Office immediately.

13. Re-checking or re-evaluating the written exam of HPPSC Constable Recruitment 2024 will not be allowed.

14. Recruits will undergo 9 months of training, including a Special Commando course at PTC Daroh. Failure to pass may result in service termination.

15. Disputes will be subject to court jurisdiction in Shimla.

16. The Commission will handle court cases/ RTI/ Public Grievances related to the HPPSC Constable Recruitment 2024; the Home Department and HP Police will handle other matters like Physical Tests and appointments.

Documents to be Uploaded:

1. Matriculation certificate.

2. +2 certificate.

3. NCC certificate (if applicable).

4. Valid category certificate(s) (SC, ST, OBC, EWS, WFF, Ex-SM, etc.) as per HP Government guidelines.

5. Service certificate for Home Guards (HG).

6. Bonafide Himachali certificate (if matriculation and +2 are from institutions outside HP).

7. Valid EWS/BPL certificate (if applicable) per the HP Government’s prescribed format.

2. E-Call Letters/ Admit Cards:

• E-call letters will not be sent by post. Candidates must download them from the Commission’s website.
• Candidates must paste a passport-size photograph, self-attested or attested by a Gazetted Officer, on the admit card to appear for the exam.
• Along with the admit card, carry a valid original photo ID proof with the date of birth.

3. Photo-ID Proof: Acceptable IDs include Aadhaar Card, Voter ID, Driving License, PAN Card, Passport, or an ID card from a University/ College/ Govt. If the ID lacks a date of birth, an additional document like a Matriculation Certificate is required.

4. General Instructions:

• Upload a recent photograph. If it differs from the one on the admit card, the candidature will be canceled.
• Reserved category candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria for their category.
• Appearing at a different exam center than assigned will result in rejection.
• Vacancies may increase or decrease, and updates will be posted on the Commission’s website.

5. Government Employees: Regular government employees need a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from their employer during document verification.

6. False Information: Furnishing false documents or suppressing information will result in disqualification and possible termination if discovered during service.

7. Eligibility Check: The Commission will scrutinize applications for eligibility at later stages. If claims are false, the candidature will be canceled.

8. Prevention of Malpractice Act: HPPSC exams are subject to the Himachal Pradesh Prevention of Malpractice Act, 1984.

9. Disciplinary Action: Candidates guilty of malpractice or misconduct will face penalties, including up to a 15-year ban from exams, cancellation of candidature, and possible criminal prosecution.

10. Physical Test Instructions: Detailed instructions regarding the physical test will be provided along with E-call letters.
