The Indian Air Force invites online applications from eligible men and women for commissioning as officers in the Flying Branch and Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) branches through the AFCAT 2025 Recruitment. Additionally, NCC Special Entry is available for candidates aspiring to join the Flying Branch.
Successful candidates will commence their training in July 2026 at the Air Force Academy, Dundigal (Hyderabad). Candidates can apply via the AFCAT Apply Online portal starting 02 June 2025.

Age Limit:
- Flying Branch: 20 to 24 years (Born between 02 July 2002 – 01 July 2006).
- Upper age relaxation up to 26 years for candidates holding a valid Commercial Pilot License (CPL) issued by DGCA India.
- Ground Duty (Technical & Non-Technical) Branches: 20 to 26 years (Born between 02 July 2000 – 01 July 2006).
Pay Scale:
📌 On commissioning: ₹56,100 – ₹1,77,500 (Level 10) + MSP ₹15,500
📌 Fixed stipend of ₹56,100/month during training.
📌 Additional allowances based on duty location, nature of assignment, and special roles.

Selection Process: IAF AFCAT 02 2025 Recruitment
📌 Step 1: AFCAT Online Examination (Only for AFCAT Entry candidates) The AFCAT Exam consists of objective-type questions on General Awareness, English, Numerical Ability, Reasoning, and Military Aptitude.
📌 Step 2: AFSB (Air Force Selection Board) Interview. Shortlisted candidates will be called for an AFSB Interview, which includes

✅ Group Discussions & Leadership Tasks—Evaluates decision-making skills.
✅ Personal Interview—Tests suitability for the role.
📌 Step 3: Medical Examination Candidates must meet the medical fitness standards set by the Air Force Medical Board.
📌 Step 4: Merit List Final selection is based on AFSB performance, exam scores, and medical test results.
