Educational Qualifications:

1. Post Graduate in Hospitality, Tourism, or MBA from a recognized university or institute.

2. Full-Time Degree or three-year Diploma in Hotel Administration, Hospitality Management, Hotel Management, Hospitality Administration, Culinary Arts, or Culinary Science with at least 55% marks from:

• NCHMCT or affiliated institute
• AICTE- approved institute
• State Board of Technical Education approved institute
• University recognized by UGC
• Central/ State/ Deemed University recognized by UGC
• Equivalent foreign degree/ diploma recognized by AIU

Desirable Qualifications:

1. PhD degree
2. Six months of experience in a 3-star or above category hotel

Mandatory Qualification:

• Qualified NHTET with the prescribed percentage, conducted by NCHMCT

Category B

Educational Qualifications:

• Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality, Hotel Administration, Hotel Management, or Culinary Arts from a recognized university or institute with at least 55% marks
• Minimum 2 years of hospitality industry experience
• Qualified NHTET with the prescribed percentage, conducted by NCHMCT

Common Clauses for Categories A & B:

1. Service as a teacher at the UG level or above in Hospitality (full-time, contract basis) will be considered valid experience.
2. PhD holders in Hospitality- related subjects from a recognized university or institute after the prescribed qualification do not need to qualify for NHTET.
3. Age limit: 35 Years.

Salary: ₹25000/ per month

• Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality & Hotel Administration/ Hotel Management after 10+2 from a recognized University and a full-time Master’s Degree in Hospitality & Hotel Administration/ Hotel Management with at least 60% marks in aggregate in either degree.

OR

• Full-time Bachelor’s Degree in Hospitality & Hotel Administration/ Hotel Management after 10+2 from a recognized University with at least 60% marks in aggregate and at least 2 years of industry experience.

AND

• Must have qualified NHTET conducted by NCHMCT with the prescribed percentage for Teaching Associate. (Ph.D. holders in Hospitality/ Hotel Management do not need to qualify for NHTET).
• Age limit: 30 Years.

Note:

·         Age relaxation is extra, as per norms.

·         Cut –off date for age calculation: 01/07/2024

1.       Interested candidates who meet the prescribed conditions may apply to the Principal, Institute of Hotel Management, Catering Technology & Applied Nutrition, Near M.S. Building & SKSJI Hostel, SJP Campus, Bangalore – 560001.

2.       Applications should be sent within 30 days from the date of advertisement. Indicate “Application for the post of _______________,  IHMCT&AN, Bangalore” on the envelope. If there’s a delay in forwarding the application through the respective department, send an advance copy with all documents within the time limit.
