Procedure and Conditions for Applying Online:

1.       Application Form:

·         Complete the online application for “IOB Apprenticeship Program FY 2024-25” on the “Career Opportunities” page at www.bfsissc.com.

2.       State/UT Selection:

·         Apply for engagement in only ONE State/ UT, preferably your home State/UT.

3.       Application/ Examination Fee:

·         Eligible candidates will receive an email from BFSI SSC to pay the non-refundable examination fee/intimation charges online from 28.08.2024 to 15.09.2024. No other payment mode is accepted.

4.       No Withdrawal or Refund:

·         Applications cannot be withdrawn once submitted, and fees paid are non-refundable and non-transferable.

5.       Apprenticeship History:

·         Candidates who have previously undergone Apprenticeship with Indian Overseas Bank or any other organization, or those pursuing Apprenticeship training, are not eligible.

6.       Prior Experience:

·         Candidates with one year or more of training or job experience after completing their education are not eligible for Apprenticeship.

Selection Process Overview:

1.       Selection Criteria:

·         Based on Online Examination, Local Language Test (if applicable), and Personal Interaction (if any).

·         Eligibility alone does not guarantee selection for the exam or interaction.

2.       Online Written Test:

·         Structure:

·         General/Financial Awareness: 25 Questions, 25 Marks

·         General English: 25 Questions, 25 Marks

·         Quantitative and Reasoning Aptitude: 25 Questions, 25 Marks

·         Computer or Subject Knowledge: 25 Questions, 25 Marks

·         Total: 100 Questions, 100 Marks

·         Duration: 90 minutes

·         Additional Details:

·         Exam intimation will be sent by BFSI SSC.

·         Online exams must be taken using a camera-enabled device.

·         ID proof shown during the exam must match the one uploaded on the apprenticeship portal.

·         No one else is allowed near the candidate during the exam, except for PwBD candidates.

·         Minimum aggregate score required, with 5% relaxation for SC/ ST/ OBC/ PwBD candidates.

·         Merit-based selection; age will determine rank in case of a tie.

·         Results and final selection list will be available on the website.

·         A waitlist will be maintained for one year.

3.       Test of Local Language:

·         Candidates must be proficient in the local language of the state they apply for.

·         Language tests will be conducted after passing the online exam, during document verification.

·         Candidates with 10th or 12th mark sheets showing proficiency in the local language may be exempt from the test.

Important General Instructions:

1.       Eligibility Check:

·         Ensure you meet all eligibility criteria and have the required documents. The Bank reserves the right to cancel applications or terminate services if discrepancies are found.

2.       Application Rejection:

·         The bank can reject any application at any stage if the candidate is found ineligible. The bank’s decisions are final and binding.

3.       Document Submission:

·         Candidates must provide original and self-attested copies of certificates during document verification. SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS/ PWBD candidates need additional specific documents.

4.       OBC Certification:

·         OBC certificates must confirm non-creamy layer status and be issued between 01.04.2024 and the date of engagement.

5.       Creamy Layer Candidates:

·         OBC candidates in the creamy layer should apply as the General category.

6.       EWS Certification:

·         EWS candidates must produce an “Income and Asset Certificate” valid for FY 2024-25.

7.       Reserved Category Candidates:

·         Reserved category candidates may apply for general category seats if they meet eligibility criteria.

8.       Document Verification:

·         Candidates not providing the required documents will be disqualified from personal interaction.

9.       Expenses:

·         Candidates must bear their expenses for document verification and personal interaction.

10.   Incomplete Applications:

·         Incomplete applications will be rejected. The bank’s decision on filling seats is final.

11.   Application Confirmation:

·         A copy of the submitted application form will be sent to the registered email.

12.   Canvassing:

·         Any form of canvassing will result in disqualification.

13.   Address Change:

·         Requests for changes in address/email will not be entertained.

14.   Medical Fitness:

·         Engagement is subject to medical fitness as per the Bank’s requirements.

15.   Language and Jurisdiction:

·         In case of disputes, the English version of the advertisement prevails. Disputes are subject to Chennai courts’ jurisdiction.

16.   Final Decision:

·         The bank’s decisions on eligibility, selection, and engagement are final. The bank reserves the right to cancel or modify the engagement process at any stage.
