Selection Methodology
1.      For Junior Operator & Junior Attendant (Post Codes 101-123 & 201-204) o   Selection: Computer-Based Test (CBT) + Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT) (Qualifying) 2.      For Junior Business Assistant (Post Codes 205-208) o   Selection: Computer-Based Test (CBT) + Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) (Qualifying) 3.      Computer-Based Test (CBT) Details o   Objective-type, multiple-choice format o   No requirement for writing/typing o   100 questions, 1 mark each, 120 minutes o   No negative marking o   Conducted in English & Hindi Exam Pattern: o   Junior Operator (Post Codes 101-123) § Section A: Professional Knowledge/General Science – 50 marks § Section B: Numerical Abilities – 20 marks, Reasoning Abilities – 20 marks, General Awareness – 10 marks § Qualifying: 35% sectional cut-off in Section A & B, 40% overall (5% relaxation for SC/ST) o   Junior Attendant (Post Codes 201-204) [SRD for PwBD] § Numerical Abilities – 40 marks, Reasoning Abilities – 40 marks, General Awareness – 20 marks § Qualifying: 35% overall cut-off o   Junior Business Assistant (Post Codes 205-208) [SRD for PwBD] § Numerical Abilities – 40 marks, Reasoning Abilities – 30 marks, General Awareness – 20 marks, Basic English – 10 marks § Qualifying: 35% overall cut-off 4.      Skill/Proficiency/Physical Test (SPPT) / Computer Proficiency Test (CPT) o   SPPT: Junior Operator & Junior Attendant (PwBD) – Task-based assessment (Fit/Unfit) o   CPT: Junior Business Assistant—MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint (20/30 commands in 75 minutes) 5.      Composite Merit List o   Based on CBT scores (descending order) o   Tie-breaking: Older candidate gets preference o   Reserved category candidates availing relaxation considered in reserved quota 6.      Pre-Employment Medical Fitness o   As per Indian Oil’s guidelines o   Medical exam by Government Civil Surgeon/Authorized Medical Officer For full details, visit www.iocl.com. |

2.      Candidates selected for postcodes 201 to 208 (PwBD category) can be posted anywhere within the respective region. 3.      Employees may be transferred anywhere in India as per the Corporation’s business needs and policies. 4.      Candidates can apply for only one postcode. If multiple applications are submitted, only the last successfully submitted one will be considered. 5.      Candidates registered with the Employment Exchange, DGR, Sainik Welfare Board, or Special Employment Exchange must apply online to be considered. |
