Selection Methodology:

1. Selection Process:

• Comprises Computer Based Test (CBT) and Skill/ Proficiency/ Physical Test (SPPT). SPPT is qualifying in nature.

2. Computer Based Test (CBT):

• It consists of 100 objective-type questions, each carrying 1 mark, to be completed in 120 minutes.
• Sections:
• Subject Knowledge: 75 marks
• Numerical Ability: 15 marks
• General Awareness: 10 marks
• No negative marking.
• Conducted in English and Hindi.
• Answer keys available post- exam for objections.

3. Minimum Qualifying Marks:

• General candidates: 40% in CBT.
• SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates: 35% (5% relaxation).

4. Examination Cities:

• Candidates choose preferred cities.
• IOCL reserves the right to change/ allocate cities.

5. Admit Cards and Communication:

• Details on the CBT date and city are provided 15 days before the exam.
