JE Recruitment 2025 Govt of Puducherry Notification. Educational Qualification:

  • Desirable: A Degree in Electrical Engineering from a recognized university OR Associate Membership of the Institution of Engineers (AMIE) (Electrical).
  • Essential: Diploma in Electrical/Electrical and Electronics Engineering with at least three years of post-diploma experience in the relevant field.

1. Online Registration:

  • Candidates must first register on the official portal https://recruitment.py.gov.in using their mobile number.
  • After registration, the system will generate a username and password, which will be sent to the candidate via SMS.
  • Candidates are advised to change the default password after their first login to ensure account security.

2. Filling the Application Form:

  • Login to the portal using the received username and password.
  • Complete the online application form by entering accurate personal details, educational qualifications, and experience.
  • Upload scanned copies of your recent passport-sized photograph and signature.
    • Photograph and signature must meet the specified dimensions and file size as outlined in the instructions on the portal.
    • Alternatively, you may upload them as a single image or two separate images.

3. Preview and Submission:

  • Before submitting the application, carefully review all entered details using the PREVIEW option.

5. Additional Requirements for Diploma Holders:

  • Diploma holders must submit a hard copy of their online application along with self-attested copies of their Diploma and Experience Certificates to: The Superintending Engineer-cum-HoD, Electricity Department, No.137, N.S.C. Bose Road, Puducherry – 605001
  • The application envelope must be superscribed with: “APPLICATION FOR THE POST OF JUNIOR ENGINEER (ELECTRICAL).”
  • This hard copy must reach the department by 3:00 PM, 8th April 2025. Late submissions will not be entertained.

6. General Tips:

The selection process comprises a Written Competitive Examination with two papers:

  1. Paper-I (HSC Level):
    • General Intelligence & Reasoning, Quantitative Aptitude, Current Affairs, General Studies, and English (100 marks).
  2. Paper-II (Degree/Diploma Level):
    • Core Electrical Engineering subjects (100 marks).

  • Both papers are of two hours each, with negative marking (0.25 marks for wrong answers).
  • Merit list will be prepared based on performance in the written exam (minimum qualifying marks apply).
