The Council of Scientific & Industrial Research (CSIR) and the National Testing Agency (NTA) have released the notification for the CSIR UGC NET/JRF Exam in December 2024. Interested candidates can apply online from 09 December 2024 to 30 December 2024. The notification includes details on eligibility criteria, subject information, required documents, age limits, and the application process. ·         Age limit:

o   JRF: Maximum 30 years,

o   Assistant Professor & PhD- No limit.

·         Age relaxation is extra as per norms.

·         Cutoff date for age calculation: 01/02/2025

• Step 1: Register using a unique email ID and mobile number.
• Step 2: Fill out the online application form and note the system-generated application number.
  Upload scanned images of:
  • Recent photograph (10KB– 200KB, JPG format)
  • Signature (4KB– 30KB, JPG format)
  • Verified Result Awaited Attestation Form (50KB– 500KB, PDF format)
  • Category Certificate (SC/ ST/ OBC/ EWS, 50KB– 300KB, PDF format) (if applicable)
  • PwD Certificate (50KB– 300KB, PDF format) (if applicable).
• Step 3: Pay the fee via Net Banking, Debit/ Credit Card, or UPI. Save the payment proof.

3.       Confirmation Page:
Download, save, and print copies of the confirmation page after successful fee payment. Keep them for future reference.

4.       Fee Exemption for PwD Candidates:
PwD candidates are exempt from the application fee.

5.       Submission Options:
All steps can be completed in one session or separately.

6.       Post Submission:
After completing all steps, download and print the confirmation page for future reference. The confirmation page is generated only after a successful fee payment on JOINT CSIR UGC NET EXAMINATION December 2024.

2.       Email and Mobile Number:
Ensure the email ID and mobile number provided in the form are personal and cannot be changed later, as NTA communicates through email or SMS.

3.       Avoid Coaching Centre Details:
Do not use a coaching center’s postal address, mobile number, or email ID in the form. Applications must be submitted online only. No offline changes will be accepted.

4.       Form Withdrawal:
The online application form cannot be withdrawn once successfully submitted.

5.       Eligibility Criteria:
Applications of ineligible candidates will be rejected.

6.       Incorrect Information:
Providing false information or fake identity will lead to legal action.

7.       Confirmation Page:
Retain the following documents for future reference:

• Printouts of the confirmation page.
• Proof of fee payment.
• 6 to 8 passport-size photographs (same as uploaded).

8.       Name on ID and Admit Card:
The name on the photo ID must match the name on the admit card. For name changes (e.g., marriage), provide relevant documents such as a Marriage Certificate, Divorce Decree, Legal Name Change Document, or Gazette Notification.

9.       Exam Normalization:
For exams held in multiple shifts, NTA may use a normalization process as per policy.

10.   Reservation Policy:
Reservation for EWS, OBC, SC, ST, and PwD candidates will follow Government of India guidelines.

11.   Identification Options:
Aadhaar is not mandatory. Other valid IDs like Passport, Ration Card, Bank Account Number, or any Government ID can be used.

12.   Single Application Rule:
Only one application per candidate is allowed. Multiple applications will be rejected.
