Instructions for Filling the Online Application Form:
  1. Read Advertisement: Read the detailed advertisement carefully before filling out the online application form. Ensure you have an active e-mail ID and mobile number, which should be preserved until the publication of the final result. Ensure all relevant documents and certificates are available before filling out the form.
  2. Visit Website: Go to the “Recruitments” tab on the left-hand menu of the official website of Patna High Court (http://patnahighcourt.gov.in).
  3. Select Exam: Click on the link  Translator and Translator-Cum-Proof Reader (For SUVAS Cell) Recruitment Examination, 2024.
  4. Apply Online: Click on “Apply online.”
  5. New Registration: Click on the “New Registration” link to register.
  6. Fill out Details: On the registration page, fill in your full name, father’s name, mother’s name, gender, reservation category, date of birth, mobile number, e-mail ID, etc. Ensure all details are correct before submission, as data cannot be changed once submitted. A registration number and password will be generated and communicated via SMS or e-mail.
  7. Print Registration Page: Print the Registration Page for future reference.
  8. Login: Use the Registration Number and Password shared via SMS or email to log in.
  9. Prefilled Data: The detailed application form will open, displaying prefilled registration data that cannot be altered.
  10. Fill in Details: Enter your details and click “submit.”
  11. Fill Education Details: Enter your education details and click “submit.”
  12. Upload Documents: Upload the following documents:
    • A scanned copy of the recent passport-size color photograph
    • Scanned signature
    • Matriculation (10th) Certificate

  13. Upload Instructions:

  14. Photo and Signature Quality: The uploaded photograph and signature must be clear. Applications with unclear photos or signatures will be rejected without representation.
  15. Photo Requirements: The photo must show a full face, both ears, and neck in frontal view with a neutral expression, open eyes, and no shadows. It should be in color with a light-colored background. No caps, hats, sunglasses, or dark glasses. Religious headwear is allowed but must not cover the face. Ensure no reflections if wearing glasses.
  16. Signature Requirements: Sign on white paper with a black pen. The signature must be your own and will be verified during the recruitment process.
  17. Payment and Submission: Verify all details on the Print Preview page, check the box, and click “Payment.” After payment, the application form will be submitted. No changes will be allowed. Any discrepancies found later will lead to disqualification.
  18. Print Application: Print the final submitted application form with payment details and keep it with relevant uploaded documents for verification.
  19. Apply Early: Apply well before the closing date to avoid technical issues. The High Court is not responsible for submission failures due to heavy internet/ website, or server load.
  20. Valid Procedure: Follow the above procedure only. Incomplete applications or applications submitted by any other mode will be rejected.

Procedure for Appointment:
  1. The examination dates indicated in the advertisement are tentative. Any changes will be announced on the official High Court website. No personal notifications will be sent.
  2. The High Court reserves the right to alter the selection procedure or examination scheme.
  3. There will be no re-evaluation, re-checking, or scrutiny of answer sheets/scores, and no correspondence on this matter will be entertained.
  4. If there are many applicants, the High Court may shortlist candidates through a screening or preliminary test.
  5. Selection will be based on marks obtained in written tests and interviews, and a select list or waiting list will be prepared accordingly.
  6. In the case of tied marks, the candidate with higher marks in the written test will be ranked higher. If those marks are also tied, the older candidate will be ranked higher.
  7. The waiting list will be valid for one year from the date of approval by the Competent Authority and may be extended for another year if necessary.
  8. Appointees must join within the period specified in the appointment letter. Joining time may be extended at the discretion of the Appointing Authority. If an appointee joins after the specified period and any extensions, their seniority will be determined by their actual date of joining.

General Instructions:
  1. The High Court reserves the right to alter the number of vacancies, modify the examination process, and set minimum cut-off marks without explanation. Candidates must strictly follow all instructions at every stage of the test/ examination.
  2. The High Court’s decisions on eligibility, application acceptance or rejection, penalties for false information, examination process, examination center allocation, selection, and appointment are final.
  3. Candidates must read the detailed advertisement, general instructions, syllabus, examination scheme (Annexure-I), and application process (Annexure-II) carefully. Non-compliance will result in disqualification.
  4. Candidates seeking reservation benefits must ensure they are eligible as per the advertisement and possess the required certificates in the prescribed format by the state government.
  5. Candidates should fill out the online application form carefully and double-check their information before submission. Details provided, such as name, contact information, address, email ID, category, OH status, educational qualifications, and date of birth, will be final. Changes after submission will not be considered.
  6. Once submitted successfully, the online application form cannot be withdrawn.
  7. Applications from candidates who do not meet the eligibility criteria will be rejected.
  8. If multiple applications are submitted, only the last correct application will be accepted. Fees from earlier applications will not be refunded.
  9. Candidates are advised to apply online well before the closing date to avoid technical issues. The High Court is not responsible for submission failures.
  10. Using/uploading someone else’s photograph/signature or tampering with the admission card/result will be treated as an unfair means.
  11. Providing false information or falsifying an identity will result in disqualification and legal action.
  12. If a candidate is found ineligible or has provided false information, their candidature will be canceled without notice. Post-appointment, such discrepancies will lead to termination and potential legal proceedings.
  13. Candidates must provide accurate and complete information in the online application form. False or incomplete information will result in rejection at any stage.
  14. Candidates must disclose any criminal proceedings, FIRs, or punishments. Concealment will result in disqualification.
  15. Employed candidates must disclose any departmental proceedings or punishments. Concealment will result in disqualification.
  16. Do not submit printed online application forms or hard copies of certificates/mark sheets. The required documents must be produced for verification when asked.
  17. Keep a printout of the online application form, an e-admit card, and at least eight copies of the passport-size photograph uploaded to the application. These must be produced at the interview for document verification.
  18. Candidates must appear for the examination at their own cost at the designated center on the date/time indicated in their admit cards, which are available only on the official High Court website. Admit cards will not be sent individually.
  19. Selection is provisional and subject to eligibility verification.
  20. Candidates must have at least two recent passport-size photographs (as uploaded in the online form), one photo ID (Aadhaar, voter ID, Driving License, Passport, PAN Card, or 10th Certificate), and their admit card at the examination center. Details on the ID must match the admit card.
  21. Mobile phones, pagers, Bluetooth devices, smartwatches, or communication devices are prohibited inside the examination premises. Violations may result in debarment from future exams.
  22. Appearing and qualifying for the recruitment examination does not guarantee an appointment.
  23. Canvassing or using unfair means during examinations will disqualify the candidate.
  24. Candidates employed in government or public sector organizations must apply after obtaining permission from their employer and produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC).
  25. Candidates claiming reservation/relaxation must provide a certificate issued by the competent authority in the prescribed format. OH candidates must submit a certificate indicating at least 40% physical disability.
  26. Allowing a candidate to appear in the examination does not imply eligibility verification or a vested right to appointment. Eligibility is subject to final verification by the competent authority.
  27. Information on the High Court’s website will not be provided under the Right to Information Act during recruitment. Candidates are advised to download and keep the uploaded information for future reference.
  28. Representations regarding direct recruitment will not be entertained once the process is initiated.
  29. Factual information under the RTI Act will be provided only after the final result is declared. Inferential or speculative questions will not be answered.
  30. Final scores and category-wise cut-off marks will be uploaded on the official High Court website after the final result declaration. RTI applications regarding this will not be entertained during the recruitment process.
  31. Selection is based purely on merit. Beware of touts promising selection through unlawful means.
  32. Examination records will be available for 365 days from the final result declaration. After this period, records will be disposed of, and no further communication will be entertained.
  33. All disputes related to the recruitment examination will fall under the jurisdiction of the High Court of Judicature at Patna.
