RRB NTPC Jobs 2024: General Instructions

Railway Recruitment Board (RRB)

1.       Admission to all recruitment stages is provisional, subject to eligibility verification.

2.       Receiving an e-Call letter does not confirm final acceptance of a candidate’s application.

3.       Eligibility verification is conducted only after candidates pass all exam stages and are shortlisted for Document Verification. Ineligible candidates may be rejected at any stage.

4.       Before applying, candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria, including age, educational qualifications, and medical standards.

5.       Multiple or altered applications to more than one RRB will be rejected, and the candidate will be debarred from future RRB/RRC exams.

6.       Candidates debarred by any RRB/RRC should not apply; their application will be rejected.

7.       Name, Father’s Name, and Date of Birth must match exactly with the SSLC/Matriculation certificate. Name changes must be prior to application and supported by legal documents.

8.       Candidate signatures must be identical at all recruitment stages. Mismatched signatures may lead to disqualification.

9.       Exam dates will be published on RRB websites, and e-call letters must be downloaded online. No postal copies will be sent.

10.   Vacancies are provisional and subject to change, increase, or cancellation based on Railway Administration needs. Examination fees will not be refunded, except in certain cases.

11.   Post preferences must be chosen during the online application. Allocation will be based on merit, medical standards, and availability.

12.   Selection by RRB does not guarantee appointment; final decisions are made by the Zonal Railway/Production Unit.

13.   Selected candidates must undergo training and will receive a stipend during this period.

14.   Surety or Indemnity Bonds may be required upon joining.

15.   Candidates must serve in their assigned railway for 5–10 years before requesting transfers.

16.   Appointed candidates may be required to serve in the Railway Engineers’ Territorial Army.

17.   SC/ST candidates are eligible for free sleeper class railway passes during recruitment stages if requested in the application.

18.   RRBs may make changes or additions to the recruitment terms as necessary.

19.   Candidates may consent to share their exam scores with other organizations for potential recruitment opportunities.
