SAIL Management Trainee Recruitment 2024: Eligibility Criteria

• Age Limit: The upper age limit is 28 years as of 25.07.2024 (not born earlier than 25.07.1996).
• Educational Qualification: Degree in Engineering with 65% marks in any of the eight engineering disciplines (Chemical, Civil, Computer, Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, Mechanical, and Metallurgy) from a recognized university or institute.

SAIL Management Trainee Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

SAIL will recruit management trainees (technical) based on GATE 2024 scores in the relevant engineering papers (CH, CE, CS, IN, EE, EC, ME, and MT). Shortlisted candidates will be called for group discussions and interviews. The final merit list will be prepared with a weightage of 75:10:15 for GATE-2024 scores, GD, and interviews, respectively.

Emoluments:

• Stipend: Rs. 50,000 per month during the training period.
• Post Training: On completing one-year training, management trainees will be designated as assistant managers in the pay scale of Rs. 60,000–1,80,000/-. The CTC will be approximately Rs. 16–17 lakhs per annum, excluding PRP and location-based allowances.

Important Instructions:

1. Valid Email ID and Mobile Number: Candidates must possess a valid email ID and mobile number, which should remain active for at least one year.
2. GATE-2024 Registration Number: Required for applying.
3. Application Fee: Rs. 700/- for General/OBC (NCL)/EWS candidates and Rs. 200/- for SC/ST/PwBD/Departmental candidates.

SAIL Management Trainee Recruitment 2024: General Guidelines

1. Nationality: Only Indian nationals are eligible to apply.
2. Minimum Age: The minimum age for regular employment at SAIL is 18 years.
3. Educational Qualification: Candidates must possess a degree from institutes or universities approved/recognized by the UGC or AICTE.
4. Departmental Candidates: Those currently working with SAIL as permanent employees and holding qualifying degrees from recognized universities or institutions can apply. Wards of SAIL employees are not considered departmental candidates.
5. Name on Application: Candidates should enter their full name as it appears on their matriculation certificate.
6. CGPA/OGPA Conversion: Candidates should indicate the equivalent percentage of marks for CGPA/OGPA or letter grades as per their university or institute norms. If no norms are specified, CGPA/OGPA will be presumed on a 10-point scale. Proof of conversion norms will be required at the time of the interview.
7. Government Employees: Candidates employed in government departments/PSUs, or autonomous bodies must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the time of the interview. A proper discharge certificate from the employer will be needed upon selection.
8. Category Certificate: SC/ST/OBC (NCL)/EWS/PwBD certificates must be in the format available on the SAIL website and applicable for Central Government employment. If issued in a language other than English/Hindi, a self-certified translated copy in English or Hindi must be submitted.

10. Document Retention: Candidates should retain their GATE 2024 Admit Card, GATE 2024 Score Card, and SAIL Provisional Registration Slip for future reference.
11. Post Advertisements: The posts advertised are tentative. SAIL reserves the right to cancel, restrict, enlarge, modify, or alter the advertised requirements without further notice.
12. Medical Fitness: Selection and joining are subject to medical fitness as per SAIL rules.
13. Appointment by Subsidiaries: Candidates may be considered for appointment by SAIL’s subsidiaries and joint venture companies as per their terms and conditions after SAIL’s requirements are fulfilled.
14. Misconduct: Candidates must not furnish false, tampered with, or fabricated information or suppress any material information in the application form.
15. Eligibility Verification: If a candidate is found ineligible or has furnished false information at any stage of recruitment or after appointment, their candidature or service will be canceled/terminated.
16. Eligibility Date: Eligibility regarding age limit, qualification, and category will be reckoned as of the closing date of the online application receipt as mentioned in the advertisement.
17. Final Decision: SAIL’s decision regarding eligibility, tests, and selection is final and binding. No representation or correspondence will be entertained.
