  1. Read Instructions: Before applying, carefully read the exam notice in both English and Hindi. The English version prevails in disputes.
  2. Early Submission: Submit applications well before the deadline to avoid website congestion issues.
  3. One-Time Registration: Generate a new One-Time Registration (OTR) on https://ssc.gov.in, as the old OTR on https://ssc.nic.in is invalid.
  4. Eligibility Check: The candidate is provisional. Ensure eligibility in terms of education, age, and other criteria before applying. Certificates will be verified during document verification.
  5. Reservation Benefits: Ensure eligibility for SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PwBD/ESM reservations and possess the necessary certificates.
  6. Disability Considerations: Candidates with benchmark disabilities are entitled to age-relaxation/reservation benefits.
  7. Application Status: Upon successful submission, the application status will be “Application Received (Contents Not Verified).” Print the form for records.
  8. Application Fee: ₹100, exempt for women, SC, ST, ESM, and PwBD candidates.
  9. Single Application: Only one application per candidate is allowed. Multiple applications will result in rejection and cancellation of candidature.
  10. Correction Window: After the application deadline, a 2-day correction window will be available with a stipulated fee. The latest application will be considered valid.
  11. Final Check: Ensure all details are correct before the final submission. No changes are allowed post-submission.
  12. Correct Details: Use exact names and details as per the matriculation certificate to avoid cancellation during document verification.
  13. Photo Requirements: Follow the specific instructions for capturing and uploading photographs and signatures. Non-compliant photos/signatures will lead to rejection.
  14. Active Contact Info: Provide an active email and mobile number for communication.
  15. Aadhaar Verification: Aadhaar data may be used for verification. Maintain appearance consistency with the application photo during exams.
  16. Required Documents: Carry two passport-size photos and an original photo ID to the exam venue. Additional proof of DOB may be required if not printed on the ID.
  17. Post Preferences: Submit post preferences online before the final result. No changes are allowed post-submission.
  18. Legal Action: Misuse of dignitaries’ names/photos will result in legal action.

  21. Correspondence: Contact the User Department if no correspondence is received within a year of the result declaration.
