Candidates must apply online through UPSC’s official portal. No other mode of application is accepted for UPSC CDS-II 2025.

Step-by-Step Application Process:

1️⃣ Visit the official UPSC website 👉 https://upsconline.nic.in.

2️⃣ Register on the portal – Create an account with valid details.

3️⃣ Fill out the Common Application Form carefully.

4️⃣ Upload necessary documents like Aadhaar, Degree certificate, category certificate, recent photograph & signature as per UPSC guidelines.

5️⃣ Make payment (if applicable) through Credit/Debit Card, UPI, or Internet Banking.

6️⃣ Review your application to ensure accuracy.

7️⃣ Submit the form and take a printout for future reference.

🚨 Important Notes:

  • Applications cannot be withdrawn once submitted.
  • Ensure that the Photo ID Card details are correct, as they will be used for verification throughout the process.
  • The Admit Card will be available for download on UPSC’s website one week before the exam.

Applicants must upload scanned copies of the following:

  1. Photo ID Proof – Aadhaar Card / PAN / Voter ID / Passport / Driving License.
  2. Educational Certificates – Degree Certificate / Provisional Degree for final-year students.
  3. Recent Photograph & Signature – As per UPSC guidelines.
  4. Category Certificate (SC/ST/OBC/EWS/PH/Women) – If applicable.
  5. Proof of NCC ‘C’ Certificate (for NCC Special Entry candidates).

1️⃣ Written Examination: Candidates must appear for objective-type tests in the following subjects:

  • English – 100 Marks
  • General Knowledge – 100 Marks
  • Mathematics (only for IMA, INA & AFA) – 100 Marks

📌 Note: Negative marking applies (0.33 marks deducted per wrong answer).

2️⃣ SSB Interview / Personality Test: Candidates clearing the written test will be invited for the SSB (Services Selection Board) interview, which includes:

  • Stage 1 – Officer Intelligence Rating (OIR) test & Picture Perception Test (PP&DT).
  • Stage 2 – Psychological Tests, Group Tasks, Personal Interview.

3️⃣ Medical Examination: Only medically fit candidates per UPSC guidelines will proceed to the final merit list.

4️⃣ Final Merit List: Selection is based on the combined performance in written examination & SSB Interview.

🔹 Candidates must read the full notification carefully before applying.

🔹 Negative Marking: Incorrect answers will incur a penalty of 0.33 marks per wrong answer.

🔹 Question Paper Representation Portal: Candidates can challenge exam questions via the QPRep Portal within 7 days post-exam.

🔹 Mobile Phones & Electronic Devices Banned: No smartwatches, Bluetooth devices, or cameras allowed in the exam hall. Strict disciplinary action will be taken if found violating this rule.

Can I apply for CDS-II 2025 offline?

No. Applications must be submitted online through the UPSC Online portal.

When will the CDS-II 2025 result be announced?

Written exam results are expected in October 2025.

What is the physical fitness requirement for the CDS Exam?

Candidates must meet height, weight, eyesight, and overall fitness standards specified for each branch.
