Eligibility:Candidates with the following experience are eligible to apply:
Eligible candidates include: a) Officers from any State/ UT Government who are already serving at an equivalent level or are eligible for such appointments within their cadre, with relevant experience. b) Individuals working at comparable levels in Public Sector Undertakings (PSUs), Autonomous Bodies, Statutory Organizations, Universities, or Recognized Research Institutes. c) Individuals working at similar levels in Private Sector Companies, consulting Organizations, or International/ Multinational Organizations. |

How to Apply:
1. Online Application: Candidates must apply online through the official website at http://www.upsconline.nic.in. Applications submitted via any other method will be rejected. 2. Document Upload: Candidates must upload documents in support of their claims, such as Date of Birth, Educational Qualifications, Experience, and other relevant information. Each document should be in PDF format, with a size limit of 1 MB for most modules and 2 MB for the “UPLOAD OTHER DOCUMENT” module. Documents should be scanned at 200 dpi in grayscale for clarity. 3. Required Documents: · Matriculation/ 10th Standard certificate or equivalent showing Date of Birth. · Degree/ Diploma certificates or provisional certificates with mark sheets. · Documents proving equivalent Educational Qualifications if applicable. · Experience Certificates detailing duties, dates, and duration of experience. · PwBD certificate in the prescribed format (if applicable). · Any other supporting documents for claims made. Note: If any document is in a language other than Hindi or English, a certified translation must be uploaded. 4. Documents/ Certificates Required at the Time of Interview:
Candidates must bring the printout of their online application along with the following original documents/ certificates, self-attested copies, and any other items specified in the interview summons: a) Proof of Age: Matriculation/ 10th Standard or equivalent certificate/ mark sheet indicating date of birth. If the date of birth is not mentioned, a school leaving certificate indicating the date of birth will be accepted (for Tamil Nadu & Kerala). b) Educational Qualifications: Degree/ Diploma certificates along with mark sheets for all academic years. If the final certificate is not available, a provisional certificate with mark sheets will be accepted. c) Equivalent Qualifications: Document/ letter indicating the authority under which a claimed qualification is treated as equivalent, if applicable. d) Experience: Original documents supporting the experience claimed in the application. e) PwBD Certificate: PwBD certificate in the prescribed format, issued by a competent authority. f) Name Change Proof: For candidates who have changed their name after matriculation due to marriage, remarriage, or divorce, the following documents are required:

1. All appointees will be regarded as public servants under the CCS (Conduct) Rules and any other statutes notified by the government as applicable.
2. Tenure: The contract or deputation period will initially be for three years, extendable up to a maximum of five years based on performance and organizational needs. 3. Either party may terminate the employment contract with a minimum notice period of three months. 4. Applicants meeting the eligibility criteria for the post of Director will be considered for the Director role, while those eligible for the Deputy Secretary position will be considered for that role. All these positions fall under Group ‘A’. Candidates from the private sector will be appointed on a contractual basis, with terms outlined in a contract between the selected candidate and the Government of India. Officials from State/ UT Administrations, PSUs, Autonomous Bodies, Statutory Organizations, Universities, and Recognized Research Institutes will be appointed on deputation as per standard deputation terms. |

1. Application Submission: All candidates, whether in government service, government-owned organizations, or private employment, must submit their applications online directly to the Commission. Regular government employees (excluding casual/ adhoc/ daily wage/ hourly paid/ contract basis) must submit a declaration that they have informed their Head of Office/ Department in writing about their application.
2. Eligibility Date: The eligibility of all candidates will be determined based on the closing date for submitting the Online Recruitment Application at http://www.upsconline.nic.in. 3. Equivalent Qualifications: Candidates claiming a qualification as equivalent must provide an order/ letter indicating the Authority (with number and date) under which it has been treated as equivalent. Failure to do so may result in the rejection of the application. 4. Interview Location: Candidates may be required to attend a personal interview in New Delhi. The Commission does not cover travel or other expenses for the interview. 5. Interview Summons: Being summoned for an interview does not guarantee selection. Appointment orders will be issued by the Government to selected candidates. 6. Health Requirement: Candidates must be in good physical health and, if selected, be prepared to undergo a medical examination as required by the Government. 7. Final Results: Candidates will be informed of the final results through the UPSC website. Interim inquiries about the results will not be entertained, and the Commission will not correspond regarding reasons for non-selection. 8. Canvassing: Any form of canvassing will disqualify a candidate. |
