1. Government Service Declaration:
   • Candidates in government service or similar organizations must apply online directly. Those already in regular government service must declare their application to their Head of Office/ Department.
2. Eligibility Date:
   • Eligibility of candidates will be determined as of the closing date for submitting the Online Recruitment Application on http://www.upsconline.nic.in.
3. Equivalent Qualifications:
   • If claiming an equivalent qualification per the advertisement, candidates must provide an order/ letter specifying the authority under which it’s recognized, or risk rejection of the application.
4. Interview Process:
   • Candidates may need to attend a personal interview at a designated location. The Commission does not cover travel expenses but reimburses at a specified rate, usually corresponding to Second Class Mail railway fare.
5. Travel Expenses:
   • Travel expenses for interview attendees in Delhi are provided on the spot. For interviews outside Delhi, expenses are reimbursed via Money Order or bank transfer upon submission of required documents.
6. Selection Assurance:
   • Being summoned for an interview does not guarantee selection. The government issues appointment orders based on merit.
7. Health Requirements:
   • Candidates must be healthy and willing to undergo necessary medical examinations if selected.
8. Result Notification:
   • Final results will be communicated through the UPSC website/Employment News. Interim inquiries about results will not be entertained.
9. Higher Initial Pay:
   • Meritorious candidates in interviews may be eligible for higher initial pay as determined by the Commission.
10. Canvassing:
