CSIR Walk in Interview 2024 Notification. CSIR-Central Mechanical Engineering Research Institute (CSIR-CMERI), founded in 1958, serves as the premier R&D institute for mechanical engineering and related fields. It operates under the Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), an autonomous body under the Ministry of Science & Technology, Government of India. A walk-in interview will be held at CSIR-CMERI, Durgapur, from 30th September to 1st October 2024, to recruit candidates for various project personnel positions across different projects. Selected candidates will gain hands-on experience working in advanced R&D projects at state-of-the-art laboratories. The number of vacancies may vary across disciplines and projects.

CSIR Walk in Interview 2024: Important Information

2.       Candidates who have worked in CSIR-CMERI or any other CSIR Lab/Institute for 6 years or more in roles such as Trainee, Project Assistant, Project Fellow, JRF, SRF, Project Associate, or Research Associate are not eligible for these engagements. Candidates with less than 6 years of experience will automatically end their tenure on completing six years.

3.       Selected candidates will be engaged for the specified project duration, which may be extended or curtailed based on the project requirements or a maximum of six years, whichever comes first.

4.       The date for determining the upper age limit, qualifications, and experience will be the date of the interview for the respective Post Code. Age relaxation will be provided to SC/ST/OBC and women candidates as per Government of India/CSIR rules.

5.       Interested candidates must appear before the Selection Committee with all original certificates, mark sheets, self-attested photocopies of each, and a recent passport-size photograph along with the filled-in application form from the institute’s website.

6.       No TA/DA will be provided for attending the Walk-In-Interview. Candidates may choose Hindi or English as the medium of communication during the interview.

7.       The selection process may continue till late evening or the next day. Candidates are advised to be prepared accordingly.

8.       If it is found at any stage of the selection process or afterward that a candidate does not meet the eligibility criteria, their candidature will be canceled without explanation.

9.       The decision of CSIR-CMERI regarding the selection process will be final and binding. No correspondence will be entertained.

10.   Offers of engagement to selected candidates will be issued based on fund availability and approval by the Competent Authority. The tenure mentioned in the advertisement is tentative and may be extended or reduced as per the decision of the Competent Authority.

11.   Candidates currently engaged in any CSIR project must produce a No Objection Certificate (NOC) from the Competent Authority before appearing for the walk-in interview, failing which they will not be allowed to participate.

12.   In case of any discrepancy between the Hindi and English versions of the advertisement, the English version will be considered final.
