How  to Apply: UPSC CMS Recruitment 2025

1. Candidates must apply online at https://upsconline.gov.in.
2. One-Time Registration (OTR):
   • Candidates must register on the OTR platform before applying.
   • OTR registration is a one-time process and can be done anytime.
   • If you have already registered, proceed directly to the application.
3. Modification in OTR Profile:
   • Changes in the OTR profiles are allowed only once in a lifetime.
   • Modification is allowed within 7 days after the closure of the first application window.
4. Editable Entries (Before Final Submission & During Correction Window):
   • Name change history
   • Gender
   • Minority Status
   • Class 10th Board Examination Roll Number
5. Non-Editable Entries:
   • Name (as per Class X)
   • Date of Birth
   • Father’s Name
   • Mother’s Name
   • Mobile Number*
   • Email ID@
6. Mobile & Email Change:
   • If the registered mobile number is lost but the email is accessible, an OTP will be sent to the email for change.
   • If the registered email ID is lost but the mobile is accessible, an OTP will be sent to the mobile for change.
   • If both are lost, send a request to UPSC at [email protected] with:
     • Matriculation Certificate
     • Aadhar Card/PAN Card/Passport/Driving License
     • Recent passport-size photograph
     • Undertaking (as per Appendix-X)
7. PwBD Candidates:
   • Those seeking assistance from an ‘Own Scribe’ must provide details.
   • PwBD certificate: Upload either a UDID PwD certificate or a valid format from UPSC’s website.
8. Name Change Cases:
   • If the name in educational certificates doesn’t match, submit a Gazette Notification.
   • If unavailable at the time of application, upload it after the written exam result.
9. Final Submission & Corrections:
   • Verify all details before final submission.
   • Changes (except non-editable fields in Point 5) can be made during the one-week correction window after the application closes.

Selection Process: UPSC CMS Recruitment 2025

1. Part-I: Written Examination (500 Marks)
   • Two papers, each carrying 250 marks.
   • Duration: 2 hours per paper.
2. Part II: Personality Test (100 Marks)
   • Conducted for candidates who qualify in the written examination.

  • Name change status
  • Gender
  • Minority Status
  • Class 10th Board Roll Number
• Non-editable fields:
  • Name (as per Class X)
  • Date of Birth
  • Father’s & Mother’s Name
  • Mobile Number (Can be changed via email OTP)
  • Email ID (Can be changed via mobile OTP)
• If both mobile & email access is lost, request modification via email ([email protected]) with:
  • Matriculation Certificate
  • Aadhar/PAN/Passport/Driving License
  • Recent passport-size photo
  • Undertaking (as per APPENDIX-X)
• PwBD candidates must provide details on their own scribe.
• Name mismatch with educational documents requires a Gazette Notification (can be uploaded later).
• PwBD Certificate: Upload UDID Certificate or valid PwBD format certificate from UPSC’s website.
• Changes in the Application application form (except OTR Profile) can be made from 12th to 18th March 2025.

2. Modification in Application Form

• Correction Window: 12th–18th March 2025 (7 days post-application closing).
• OTR profile changes are not allowed during this period; modifications must be made via the OTR platform.
• Application withdrawal is not permitted.

3. Photo ID Requirement

• Candidates must provide one valid photo ID (Aadhaar, Voter ID, PAN, Passport, Driving License, etc.) while applying.
• The same Photo ID must be carried for the exam and future references.

4. Last Date for Application

• Deadline: 11th March 2025 (6:00 PM).
• e-Admit Card: Available on the UPSC website (https://upsconline.gov.in) one week before the exam.
• No admit card will be sent by post.
• Provide a valid & active email ID for official communication.

5. Penalty for Wrong Answers

• Negative marking applies for incorrect responses in objective-type question papers.

6. Online Question Paper Representation Portal (QPRep)

• Candidates can challenge exam questions within 7 days post-exam (until 6:00 PM on the 7th day).
• Submit representations only via the QPRep Portal.
• No representations via email/post/hand delivery will be accepted.
