BIS Consultants Recruitment 2025 Notification. The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), under the Ministry of Consumer Affairs, Food, and Public Distribution (Department of Consumer Affairs), Government of India, invites applications from qualified and experienced candidates for engagement as Consultants for Standardization Activities. Pay Scale:

₹75,000/month consolidated remuneration, subject to statutory deductions.

The selection process for the BIS Consultant positions ensures a fair and merit-based evaluation:

  • Work Hours: Consultants are required to follow the regular BIS work hours (9:00 AM to 5:30 PM) and ensure punctual attendance via the biometric system.
  • Full-time Commitment: No other assignments or jobs may be undertaken during the engagement period.
  • Termination Clause: BIS reserves the right to terminate the engagement without prior notice by giving 30 days’ notice. Consultants must also provide 30 days’ notice or remuneration in lieu thereof to resign from the position.
  • Medical Fitness & Police Verification: Upon selection, candidates must submit a medical fitness certificate and complete police verification.

What is the tenure of engagement?
