📌 Step-by-Step Guide:

  6. Select up to 5 preferred exam centers.
  7. Pay the application and processing fee online.

Stage I – Computer-Based Examination (CBE)

  • Type: Online, Multiple Choice Questions
  • Medium: Hindi / English / Kannada / Tamil / Telugu (based on unit)
  • Total Marks: 100
  • Candidates are shortlisted in a 1:5 ratio based on merit and category reservation.
  • Minimum Qualifying Marks:
    • UR/EWS: 30 marks
    • OBC/SC/ST: 22.5 marks
  • PwD & Ex-servicemen receive relaxation up to the qualifying marks

Stage II – Skill Test & Document Verification

  • Nature: Qualifying only (no marks counted toward merit)
  • Candidates verified for eligibility will undergo hands-on skill assessment related to their trade.
  • Final merit is prepared only based on CBE scores, provided candidates qualify for the Skill Test.

Special Preference:

  • Best Apprentices and Runner-Up Apprentices of the All India Skill Competition get direct entry into Stage II. The Best Apprentices will receive 2 increments on joining.
  • You must commit to 20 years of service at the allocated manufacturing unit.
  • Transfer requests within this period will not be entertained unless critical and subject to vacancy.
  • Multiple applications from the same candidate will be rejected. Only the latest will be considered.
  • The exam will be held on the same day for all trades; choose your unit and trade wisely.
  • The examination and skill test will be conducted in the preferred language, depending on your selected unit.
  • Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted via email; ensure your email remains active.
  • Candidature is provisional unless verified during the selection process.
  • Applicants employed in PSU/Govt must present a No Objection Certificate (NOC) during verification.
  • Visit the official website regularly for updates—no postal communication will be sent.

Can I apply for multiple trades or units?

No. You must choose one trade and one manufacturing unit. Multiple applications will be rejected.

Will I be transferred after selection?

No. Selected candidates are required to serve at their assigned unit for 20 years.

Is work experience mandatory?

Work experience isn’t mandatory, but it can offer age relaxation up to 7 years if properly documented.
