Qualification & Eligibility

Bihar Public Services Commission (BPSC)

1. Middle School Teacher Class- 6 to 8

A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks and a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) qualification. OR

A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 45% marks and a B.Ed in accordance with NCTE norms. OR

A Bachelor’s Degree with at least 50% marks and qualifications in both B.A. B.Ed and B.Sc. Ed. OR

A Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum of 50% marks and a specialization in B.Ed. OR

A Master’s Degree with a minimum of 55% marks and a 3-year B.Ed, M.Ed qualification.

2. TGT Teacher Class 9-10

 2. A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks, along with a B.Ed degree. OR

A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in the relevant subject with at least 45% marks (in accordance with 2002 norms) and a B.Ed degree. OR

A 4-year degree in BAEd or BScEd.

with Successful completion of the STET Paper I exam.

3. TGT Teacher Class 9-10 (Special)

Hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a relevant subject with a minimum of 50% marks, along with a B.Ed degree. OR

Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a related subject with at least 45% marks (following 2002 norms), in addition to a B.Ed degree. OR

Have completed a 4-year degree program in BAEd or BScEd.

With successfully passing the STET Paper I exam in the respective subject.

4. PGT Teacher Class 11-12

Hold a Master’s degree in a related subject with a minimum of 50% marks, in addition to a B.Ed degree. OR

Possess a Master’s degree in a related subject with at least 45% marks (in accordance with 2002 norms), along with a B.Ed degree. OR

Have a Master’s degree in a related subject and a 4-year degree in BAEd or BScEd. OR

Attain a Master’s degree with 55% marks and a 3-year B.Ed-Med degree.

With successfully passing the STET Paper II exam.
