- How to Apply:
- Candidates must apply online via the link https://www.upsconline.nic.in.
- Initial registration on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform on the Commission’s website is mandatory before filling out the online application.
- OTR registration is a one-time process, accessible throughout the year. Registered candidates can proceed directly to fill out the online application.
- Modifications to the OTR profile are permitted only once after registration, available for 7 days after the closure of the first final application.
- For modifications other than the OTR profile, a window for correction in the application form will be open from 15.05.2024 to 21.05.2024.
- Withdrawal of applications after submission is not permitted.
- Detailed instructions for online application are provided on the website.
- Application Submission:
- All candidates, including those currently employed in government or private sectors, should submit applications directly to the Commission.
- Government employees must inform their Head of Office/Department about their application.
- Applications may be rejected if employer permission is withheld.
- Important Notes:
- Careful selection of the examination center is crucial; appearing at a different center than designated may lead to cancellation of candidature.
- Incomplete or faulty applications will be rejected without further consideration.
- Hard copies of applications are not required at this stage.
- Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility criteria throughout the examination process.
- Disqualification Criteria:
- Candidates found guilty of various misdeeds, including impersonation, submitting incorrect documents, using unfair means, etc., will be disqualified.
- Penalties may include permanent or temporary debarment from examinations and employment under the Central Government.
- Opportunity for representation will be provided before imposing penalties.
- Collusion Consequences:
- Any individual colluding with candidates in misconduct will face similar penalties.
- Unfair Means Handling:
- Candidates caught using unfair means may be expelled from the examination immediately upon discovery.
- Further actions against such candidates will be taken in consultation with the Commission, potentially barring them from future exams.

Physical and Medical Standards for Assistant Commandants in CAPF

 (1) Physical Standards:
-
- Minimum requirements for candidates:
- Men: Height – 165 cm, Chest – 81 cm (unexpanded), Weight – 50 kg.
- Women: Height – 157 cm, Weight – 46 kg.
- Weight should correspond to height and age as per Appendix II (B).
(2) Medical Standards:
-
- Eye Sight:
- Better eye (corrected vision): Distant vision 6/6 or 6/9, Near Vision N6.
- Worse eye (corrected vision): Distant vision 6/12 or 6/9, Near Vision N9.
- Limits of Refractive errors permitted.
- Carrying angle: ≤ 15˚ for males, ≤ 20˚ for females.
- Ear: No deafness, persistent ear discharge, or obstruction.
- Nose: No DNS, chronic sinusitis, etc.
- Neck: No enlarged lymph nodes, thyroid swelling, etc.
- Teeth: Sufficient number of sound teeth, no severe pyorrhea.
- Venereal Disease: No active signs of clinical VD.
- Chronic skin diseases: No leprosy, chronic dermatitis, etc.
(3) General Standards:
-
- Speech without impediment.
- No chronic diseases like TB, arthritis, etc.
- No perceptible glandular swelling.
- Well-formed chest, limbs, hands, and feet.
- No malunited fractures, congenital defects, etc.
- Good mental and bodily health.
- No TACHYCARDIA or BRADYCARDIA.
- No hernia, hemorrhoids, rectal prolapse, etc.
(4) Tattoo Clause:
-
- Content, Location, and Size Specifications.

- Medical Examination conducted as per MHA guidelines.
- Candidates declared ‘UNFIT’ can appear before the Review Medical Board.
