Selection Criteria, Exam Structure, and Syllabus:1.      All candidates, including ex-servicemen, will undergo an OMR Sheet-based test comprising Tier-I and Tier-II, both held in a single session. Tier-I, with a 2-hour duration, will carry 100 marks and include multiple-choice objective questions on General Knowledge/Current Affairs, Reasoning, and Numerical Ability. Candidates will be awarded one mark for each correct answer, with a negative marking of 0.25 for each wrong answer. 2.      The minimum qualifying cut-off marks for Tier-I are as follows: ·        General Candidates: 40% ·        SC Candidates: 35% ·        OBC Candidates: 35% ·        Ex-Servicemen Candidates: 30% 3.      The DGP may adjust the cutoff marks if the required number of candidates has not qualified. Only those scoring the qualifying marks in Tier-I will proceed to the evaluation of Tier-II. 4.      Tier-II, with a 1-hour duration and carrying 50 marks, assesses candidates’ proficiency in the domain specialization “IT Support.” The question format is multiple-choice objective, with one mark for each correct answer and a negative marking of 0.25 for every wrong answer. The written test’s question paper will be provided in Hindi, English, and Punjabi, based on the language selected during the application, with no provision for a change in medium. 5.      Shortlisted candidates from the written test will undergo PEMT, called at 10 times the number of candidates in each category, based on the total marks in Tier I and Tier II. |
