Online applications are invited through the official website of DEE, Assam (https://dee.assam.gov.in) from eligible Indian citizens, as per the definitions in Articles 5 to 8 of the Constitution of India, and permanent residents of Assam. Qualified candidates in the Assam Teacher Eligibility Test (ATET) or Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) are invited to apply for 3800 vacancies of Assistant Teacher in LP Schools under the Directorate of Elementary Education, Assam. The positions are in the Pay Band – 2 (PB-2) with a salary range of Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/-, along with Grade Pay and other applicable allowances.

Documents required for online submission in color:

1.       Passport Size Photograph.

2.       HSLC Admit Card.

3.       HSSLC Mark-sheet and Certificate.

4.       Any other mark sheet and Certificate of higher education.

5.       DElEd Marksheet (1st Year & 2nd Year) and Certificate.

6.       Caste Certificate (for SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/OBC/MOBC candidates).

7.       Document supporting Permanent Resident status in Assam.

8.       Certificate and Mark sheet of ATET/CTET.

9.       Certificates of disabilities for candidates with disabilities issued by a government authority.

10.   Ex-servicemen Certificate issued by the Director, Sainik Welfare Board.

11.   Scanned Signature.

Note:

1.       Exercise caution during online application submission, as candidates cannot submit a second application against the same ATET/CTET Roll Number.

2.       After submission, retain the Unique Number for future reference.

3.       Canvassing will result in candidature cancellation.

Recruitment Conditions

LP Teacher Merit List Criteria, DigiLocker Verification Process, Small Family Norms Policy, Betterment/Improvement of Marks Guidelines, Fraud Prevention in Recruitment

Directorate of Elementary Education, Government of Assam

1.       The Director of Elementary Education, Assam reserves the right to cancel or postpone the recruitment without assigning any reason.

2.       Eligibility requires passing ATET/CTET for Lower Primary School.

3.       Language proficiency matching the medium of instruction is essential for ATET/CTET candidates.

4.       Merit Lists will be separate for each district and category.

5.       Age limits: 18-40 years (unreserved), 42 years (Ex-Servicemen), 43 years (OBC/MOBC), 45 years (SC/ST[P]/ST[H), and 50 years (Persons with Disability – PwD) as of January 1, 2023.

6.       Small Family Norms apply – no more than two living children from January 1, 2021, onward.

7.       Online applications are accepted from 10:00 AM on January 2, 2024, to 10:00 PM on February 2, 2024, via https://dee.assam.gov.in.

8.       No offline applications will be accepted.

9.       Verification through DigiLocker, Govt. of India, and barcode/QR code scanning; physical document verification may be conducted.

10. The candidate is responsible for the authenticity of uploaded information/documents; any misrepresentation will result in candidature cancellation.

11.   Immediate cancellation for fraudulence; barred from future Govt. recruitment; legal action initiated.

12.   Current LP School teachers under DEE, Assam, cannot apply.

13.   One application allowed per ATET/CTET Roll No.

14.   Eligibility criteria as per Govt. in the Department of School Education Notification No. eCF-303428 dated 29/11/2023.

15.   Scale of Pay: PB-2 @ Rs. 14,000/- to Rs. 70,000/- plus Grade Pay and allowances as per “The Assam Service (Revision of Pay) (Amendment) Rules, 2019.”

16.   Candidates with Not Clear (NC) status against any qualification are ineligible.

17.   Betterment/Improvement of Marks considered only in the same subjects for Higher Secondary/Senior Secondary or equivalent Examination.

18.   Reservation for OBC/MOBC/SC/ST(P)/ST(H)/PwD/Women/Ex-servicemen as per existing Government Rules.
