DRDO JRF Recruitment 2024: How  to Apply

1. Age Limit: Maximum age is 28 years as of the interview date. Age and educational qualifications are determined as of the last date for application submission. Relaxation: 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC.
2. Emoluments: Rs. 37,000/- per month plus HRA (30%), totaling Rs. 48,100/-. Accommodation may be provided, reducing HRA.
3. Tenure: Initial 2 years as JRF, with elevation to SRF for an additional 2-3 years based on satisfactory performance as per DRDO rules.
4. Government Employees: Candidates in Govt./ PSUs/ Autonomous Bodies must apply through the proper channel and provide a No Objection Certificate (NOC) at the interview.
5. Temporary Fellowship: The fellowship is temporary and does not confer any right for DRDO absorption.
6. Ineligibility: Candidates who have previously been awarded a JRF position in any DRDO Laboratory/ center are not eligible to apply.
7. CGPA to Percentage Conversion: Proof of conversion formula from the university/ institution must be attached to the application.
8. Termination of Fellowship: The fellowship may be terminated or resigned by the fellow with one month’s prior notice.
9. Advertisement Amendments: DYSL-Al, Bangalore reserves the right to amend, modify, or cancel the advertisement and fellowships as per government policy.

11. No Right for DRDO Absorption: The fellowship does not guarantee absorption in DRDO.
12. Application Procedure:

• Download and complete Annexure-1 from www.drdo.gov.in.
• Attach NOC and other testimonials (Annexure-II & III) for serving candidates.
• Include CV, self-attested copies of educational certificates, DOB proof, and caste certificate (if applicable).

DRDO JRF Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

2.       Shortlisted candidates must appear for an online coding examination (tentatively on 19th January). Details will be communicated via email.

3.       Qualified candidates will then attend a personal interview at DYSL-AI, Bengaluru, or through video conferencing, as decided by the Director, DYSL-AI.

4.       The date and time of the interview will be sent to shortlisted candidates via speed post/email.

5.       The Director’s decision on the mode of the interview (in-person or video conferencing) is final.

6.       The selection committee’s decision, as constituted by the Director, DYSL-AI, is final and binding on all candidates.

2.       Candidates must arrange their stay and transport in Bangalore.

3.       At the interview, candidates must present original certificates for caste (if applicable), age, educational qualification, No Objection Certificate (if applicable), and two passport-sized photographs.

4.       Awarding the fellowship is not a right and is at the discretion of the Lab’s Selection Committee.

5.       Candidates should bring documents for CGPA conversion.

6.       Candidates may register for a part-time Ph.D. during the fellowship tenure with DYSL-AI’s approval.

7.       No TA/ DA will be provided for attending the interview or joining if selected.
