Indian Air Force AFCAT 2025 Recruitment: Apply for Commissioned Officer Positions

The Indian Air Force invites applications from eligible men and women Indian citizens as per the Citizenship Act, 1955, for commissioned officer positions in Flying and Ground Duty (Technical and Non-Technical) branches. Online registrations open from 02 December 2024 (11:00 HRS) to 31 December 2024 (23:30 HRS).

Eligibility Criteria: Indian Air Force AFCAT 2025 Recruitment

1.       Age:

o    Flying Branch: 20–24 years (born between 02 Jan 2002 to 01 Jan 2006).

o    Ground Duty (Tech/Non-Tech): 20–26 years (born between 02 Jan 2000 to 01 Jan 2006).

o    Relaxation: CPL holders up to 26 years (Flying Branch).

2.       Marital Status:

o    Unmarried candidates only. Marriage is not permitted during training.

Educational Qualifications: Indian Air Force AFCAT 2025 Recruitment

1.       Flying Branch:

·         Minimum 50% marks in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level.

·         Graduation with a minimum of 60% marks in any discipline OR BE/B Tech (4-year course) with 60% marks OR cleared Section A & B exams of AMIE (India) or Aeronautical Society of India with 60% marks.

2.       Ground Duty (Technical) Branch:

·         Aeronautical Engineer (Electronics) AE(L):

o    50% marks in Physics and Maths at 10+2 level.

o    4-year degree in Engineering/Technology OR cleared Sections A & B of AMIE or Aeronautical Society exams with 60% marks.

o    Aeronautical Engineer (Mechanical) AE(M):

o    50% marks in Physics and Math at 10+2 level.

o    4-year degree in Engineering/Technology OR cleared Sections A & B of AMIE or Aeronautical Society exams with 60% marks.

3.       Ground Duty (Non-Technical) Branches:

o    Weapon Systems (WS) Branch:

§  50% marks in Maths and Physics at 10+2 level.

§  Graduation with 60% marks in any discipline OR BE/B Tech with 60% marks.

o    Administration & Logistics:

§  Graduate degree (3-year course) in any discipline with 60% marks OR cleared Sections A & B of AMIE or Aeronautical Society exams with 60% marks.

o    Accounts Branch:

§  Graduation in:

§  B. Com (3 years) with 60% marks.

§  BBA/BMS (finance specialization) with 60% marks.

§  Qualified CA/ CMA/ CS/ CFA.

§  B.Sc. with specialization in Finance.

How to Apply: Indian Air Force AFCAT 2025 Recruitment

1.       Register online at careerindianairforce.cdac.in or afcat.cdac.in.

2.       Submit separate applications if eligible for multiple entries.

3.       Ensure accuracy in details; no amendments will be allowed.

How to Apply for IAF:

1.       Online Registration: Visit https://careerindianairforce.cdac.in or https://afcat.cdac.in. An Aadhaar Card is mandatory.

2.       Important Instructions:

o    Double-check all entered information before proceeding to payment. Incorrect details may result in the cancellation of candidature.

o    If multiple applications are submitted, only the latest application will be considered for admit card issuance. Fees for additional applications will not be refunded.

3.       Steps to Complete the Online Application:

o    (i) Click “CANDIDATE LOGIN” on the home page.

o    (ii) Click “NOT YET REGISTERED? REGISTER HERE.”

o    (iii) Create a Login ID and receive a password via email.

o    (iv) Sign in with your email and system-generated password.

o    (v) Log out and keep your login details for future use.

o    (vi) Log in again.

o    (vii) Select Entry: “AFCAT” or “NCC SPECIAL ENTRY FOR FLYING BRANCH.”

o    (viii) Click “INSTRUCTIONS” and read carefully.

o    (ix) Acknowledge having read instructions and proceed.

o    (x) Click “FILL APPLICATION FORM.”

§  (aa) Personal Details: Fill and confirm.

§  (ab) Qualification Details: Fill in and save.

§  (ac) Course Preference: Fill in and save.

§  (ad) Communication Details: Fill in and save.

§  (ae) Upload Documents: Upload photo, signature, and thumb impression (10-50 kb).

§  (af) Exam City Selection: Choose from the drop- down menu.

§  (ag) Declaration: Agree and proceed.

4.       Payment:

o    (xi) Click “MAKE PAYMENT” (for AFCAT entry).

o    (xii) Check “PAYMENT STATUS” to confirm successful payment.

Important Instructions: Indian Air Force AFCAT 2025 Recruitment

·         Body Tattoos: Permitted only on specific areas (inner forearms, reverse side of hands).

·         Narcotics: Strictly prohibited; candidates will undergo testing.

·         Physical Fitness: Be prepared for running 1.6 km in 10 minutes, 10 push-ups, and 3 chin-ups.
