ISI Faculty Recruitment 2024 Notification. The Indian Statistical Institute (ISI) invites applications from bright, motivated Indian nationals for the position of Assistant Professor across its scientific divisions and centers. Candidates must have a strong research background and commitment to teaching. Higher positions such as Associate Professor or Professor may also be available based on experience and division needs. Responsibilities include teaching, research, research supervision, consultancy, and participation in institutional activities. Women candidates are encouraged to apply. The last date to apply with the required documents is 31 October 2024. The institute reserves the right not to fill all vacancies.

1.      Write a forwarding letter addressed to the Director, Indian Statistical Institute, 203 B.T. Road, Kolkata 700108, India, referring to Advertisement No. and its date.
2.      Attach the following documents in .pdf format:
- Filled-in Application Form (Annexure I)
- Curriculum Vitae with a list of all publications
- Proposed research plan
- Proposed teaching plan for undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Caste and/or PwBD Certificate (if applicable)
- Any other relevant information
- Reprints of up to five important publications

ISI Faculty Recruitment 2024: Selection Process

| Selection Process:
1. Screening & Shortlisting:
Applications will be screened by the Divisional Screening Committee for Recruitment (DSC-R) based on minimum eligibility, divisional requirements, merit, publications, research/teaching proposals, and recommendation letters.
2. Presentations & Interaction:
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for research presentations, teaching demonstrations, and interaction with the faculty for further screening.
3. External Review:
After presentations, applications of further shortlisted candidates will undergo an external review process.
4. Final Selection:
Candidates may be called for an interview with the Selection Committee. Only selected candidates will be informed by email.
Institute’s Support for New Faculty Members:
1. Startup Research Grant:
Up to ₹5 lakh may be provided in the first year for Assistant Professor Grade I upon submission of a proposal.
2. Cumulative Professional Development Allowance (CPDA):
₹3 lakh is provided for every three-year block period to permanent faculty members.
3. Accommodation:
Campus housing may be provided based on availability.
4. Medical Benefits:
Available as per institute rules.
5. Relocation Expenses:
Reimbursement as per institute norms. |
