General Instructions:

1.       The recruitment process adheres to the UGC Regulations, 2018, and any subsequent guidelines issued by the UGC up to the issuance date of this employment notification.

2.       Mere eligibility does not guarantee an interview call. Candidates shortlisted for interviews will be determined by Appendix II Table: 3A of UGC Regulations, 2018, considering all essential eligibility criteria for the post of Assistant Professor.

3.       Candidates applying for earmarked faculty positions must possess research and publications in the specialized area. Research papers outside the specialized area will not be considered.

4.       The applicable norms or standards set by regulatory bodies like AICTE and NCTE in relevant disciplines, as per UGC Regulations, 2018, will be followed.

5.       As per UGC Regulations, 2018, applicants for the Assistant Professor position must submit a certificate, in the prescribed format, from the concerned University verifying that their Ph.D. degree complies with relevant UGC Regulations.

6.       Ph.D. awardees from foreign Universities must enclose an “Equivalence Certificate” from the Association of Indian Universities, New Delhi, failing which their candidacy will be rejected.

7.       Eligibility marks of 55% (or equivalent grade) and the relaxation of 5% for specified categories, as per UGC Regulations, 2018, are based on qualifying marks without grace marks.

8.       Only the matriculation/SSC certificate/pass certificate from the educational board will be accepted as proof of date of birth.

9.       SC/ST/OBC category candidates should submit caste certificates as per the proforma of the Government of India, not more than 6 months old in the case of SC/ST/OBC/EWS.

10.   OBC candidates falling in the creamy layer are not entitled to reservation benefits and must apply as Unreserved Category candidates.

11.   Candidates must ensure their eligibility before applying; any later discovery of ineligibility will result in disqualification without a fee refund.

12.   Legal proceedings related to claims or disputes arising from this advertisement will be entertained only in Prayagraj.

13.   The University reserves the right to revise/reschedule/cancel/suspend the recruitment process without assigning a reason, and its decision will be final.

14.   Fee refund applications, supported by proper documents, are applicable if a post from a prior advertisement is not reflected in the current one.

15.   Any corrigendum/changes/updates related to the recruitment process will be available on the University of Allahabad website.

16.   Candidates must attach soft copies of relevant documents claimed in the online application; originals will be required only during the interview.

21.   Applications lacking required documents, fees, or submitted after the deadline will not be considered.

22.   Incomplete applications will be summarily rejected.

24.   Candidates must be in sound health, and subject to a medical examination as required by the University if selected.
