RRC Western Railway Apprentice 2024 25: How  to Apply

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC)

1. Apply online by visiting www.rrc-wr.com. Detailed instructions for filling out the application are available on the website.

2. Fill personal details, trade, Aadhaar number, marks/CGPA, and preferences for divisions/workshops carefully. The merit list will be based on this information. Any discrepancy during document verification will lead to disqualification.

3. Possess an Aadhaar card. If not received yet, enter the 28-digit Aadhaar Enrolment ID from the enrolment slip.

4. Applicants from Jammu & Kashmir, Meghalaya, and Assam can enter their voter ID, passport, driving license, or any valid government ID in the application.

5. Ensure that the name, father’s name, and date of birth match exactly with the Matriculation or equivalent certificate. Deviations during document verification will result in cancellation.

6. Provide an active mobile number and valid email ID; important notifications will be sent via email/SMS.

7. Select only one division/workshop. This choice is final. Verify trade-wise vacancies before selecting.

8. Applicants with ITI qualifications in more than one trade can apply for relevant trades separately.

9. Submitting multiple applications for the same trade with different details or email/mobile will result in rejection.

10. Download and print the online application for future reference when required by the Railway Administration.

11. Report for document verification with originals and a Medical Fitness Certificate (Annexure G) to the concerned division/workshop.

12. Upload the EWS certificate if claiming against the EWS quota, as per Para 3.7.

RRC Western Railway Apprentice 2024 25: Selection Process

Railway Recruitment Cell (RRC)

1. Selection will be based on a merit list, considering the average percentage of marks obtained in both Matriculation (minimum 50%) and ITI, with equal weightage.

2. In case of a tie-in mark, older applicants will be preferred. If birth dates are the same, the applicant who passed Matriculation earlier will be considered—no written test or interview.

3. Applicants do not need to send applications or certificates by post but must upload them online.

4. Matriculation percentage will be calculated using the total marks of all subjects (not just the best of five). CGPA must be converted to actual marks.

5. ITI percentage will be calculated from the average marks of all semesters as per the Provisional National Trade Certificate issued by NCVT/SCVT.

  • Discrepancies between online application marks and original certificates will lead to rejection.

6. Trade-wise and community-wise merit lists will be issued by the concerned divisions or units.

7. Final selection is subject to verification of original documents and a Medical Fitness Certificate.

8. Stand-by list candidates will be called if there are absentees, medically unfit, or rejected candidates, in strict merit order.

9. Applicants should be ready to report at short notice for document verification at the allotted Division/Workshop.
