SSC Hindi Translator Exam 2024 Notification. The correction window will be open from the 4th to the 5th of September 2024, allowing applicants to make any necessary corrections. 

The Staff Selection Commission will conduct an Open Competitive computer-based Examination for direct recruitment to Group ‘B’ Non-Gazetted positions, including Junior Hindi Translator, Junior Translation Officer, Junior Translator, Senior Hindi Translator, and Senior Translator, across various Ministries, Departments, and Organizations of the Government of India. Only online applications will be accepted; submissions via other methods or in printed form will not be considered.

Senior Hindi Translator (SHT)/ Senior Translator (ST) (Code- D)

· Master’s degree in Hindi with English as a subject or medium.

· Master’s degree in English with Hindi as a subject or medium.

· Master’s degree in any subject (not Hindi/ English) with Hindi medium and English as a subject.

· Master’s degree in any subject (not Hindi/English) with English medium and Hindi as a subject.

· Master’s degree in any subject (not Hindi/ English) with both Hindi and English as subjects or either as a medium.

· Diploma/ Certificate or three years’ translation experience in a government office.

·         Age limit- 18 to 30 years.
·         Age relaxation is extra as per norms.

SSC Hindi Translator Exam 2024: How  to Apply

Staff Selection Commission (SSC)

  1. Apply online at ssc.gov.in; see Annexures-IIIA and IV for instructions.
  2. Generate One-Time Registration (OTR) on the new site; old OTRs are invalid.
  3. Capture a new photograph using the application module; follow the provided instructions.
  4. Ensure the photograph matches the application requirements; pre-existing photos will be rejected.
  5. Upload a scanned signature (10-20 KB, dimensions 6.0×2.0 cm).
  6. Submit applications by 25.08.2024 (23:00 hours); apply early to avoid last-minute issues.
  7. Fee: Rs 100/-; exempt for women, SC, ST, PwBD, and Ex-Servicemen.
  8. Pay the fee online via BHIM UPI, Net Banking, or debit cards by 26.08.2024 (23:00 hours).
  9. Incomplete applications due to unpaid fees will be rejected; the fee is non-refundable.
  10. Correction window: 04.09.2024 to 05.09.2024 (23:00 hours); first correction costs ₹200, second ₹500.
  11. Pay correction charges online; non-refundable.
  12. Ensure all details are correct before submission; no further changes after the correction window.

SSC Hindi Translator Exam 2024: Mode of Selection

  1. Minimum qualifying marks: UR – 30%, OBC/ EWS – 25%, Others – 20%.
  2. Shortlisting for Paper II is based on Paper I scores.
  3. Final selection depends on performance in both papers and category-wise cut-offs.
  4. Post and Ministry allocation is based on merit and post preferences.
  5. Preferences are final and irreversible; no changes are allowed after submission.
  6. No post changes due to unmet requirements; failing to meet standards will result in rejection.
  7. Candidates selected on merit will fill general vacancies; reserved candidates fill reserved slots.
  8. Reserved category candidates qualifying by relaxed standards count against reserved vacancies.
  9. PwBD candidates selected on merit may be appointed to unreserved posts if suitable.
  10. Success in the exam does not guarantee an appointment; suitability is verified.
  11. Admission is provisional; candidates must meet eligibility conditions.
  12. Selected candidates will be on probation for two years and must pass the required training.
  13. Appointed candidates are liable to serve anywhere in India.
  14. Selected candidates may need proficiency in the local language of their allotted State/ UT/ Zone.
  15. Represent to the Regional Office if not qualified for the next stage despite scoring above the cut-off.
  16. Contact the User Organization if no correspondence is received within one year of the final result.
  17. No waiting or reserve lists are maintained; unfilled vacancies will be carried forward to future recruitments.

1. Read the SSC Hindi Translator Exam 2024 Notice of Examination carefully; the English version prevails in case of a dispute.

2. Submit applications early to avoid issues with the website on the closing date.

3. Generate One-Time Registration (OTR) on https://ssc.gov.in; old OTRs are invalid.

4. Candidature is provisional; eligibility will be verified later; documents are required during verification.

5. Ensure eligibility for reserved categories and have proper certificates.

6. Benchmark physical disabilities qualify for age-relaxation/reservation.

7. Applications are provisionally accepted; print a copy for records.

8. Fee: ₹100. Exemptions apply for women, SC, ST, ESM, and PwBD candidates.

9. Only one application is allowed; multiple applications will result in cancellation.

10. A correction window is available for 2 days post-closing; correction charges apply.

11.   No changes are allowed post-correction period; incorrect forms will be rejected.

12.   Ensure correct details as per the matriculation certificate; discrepancies may lead to cancellation.

13.   Use the application module to capture a new photograph; follow the specified instructions.

14.   Upload a scanned signature (10–20 KB) in JPEG/JPG format.

15.   Inappropriate photos or signatures will lead to rejection.

16.   Provide the correct email and mobile number for communication.

17.   Aadhaar data may be used for verification; ensure the appearance matches the application photo.

18.   Bring two passport-size photos and one original ID proof to the SSC Hindi Translator Exam 2024; discrepancies may result in disqualification.

19.   Preferences for posts and departments must be submitted online; they are final and non-changeable.

20.   Fake applications or misuse of names or photos will lead to legal action.

21.   Posts require All India Service Liability (AISL); candidates may be posted anywhere in India.

22.   Represent the regional office within two months if not qualified for the next stage despite high marks.

23.   If not contacted within one year of selection, immediately reach out to the User Department.

24.   Use the application module to capture your photograph; pre-existing photos will be rejected.
