Eligibility Criteria for Territorial Army Commission Online Entrance Exam.

• Nationality: Only citizens of India, both male and female, are eligible.
• Age Limits: To apply, candidates should be between 18 to 42 years of age as of November 21, 2023, with a minimum age requirement of 18 years.
• Educational Qualifications: Applicants must hold a graduate degree from a recognized university.
• Physical Standards: Candidates must be in sound physical and medical condition.
• Employment: Applicants should be gainfully employed. Note that individuals serving in the Regular Army, Navy, Air Force, Police, GREF, Para Military, or similar forces are not eligible.
• Online Entrance Exam Date: The online entrance exam is tentatively scheduled for the 3rd or 4th week of December 2023. Please note that the exam date may be subject to change at the discretion of the competent authority.
• Application Submission: Online registration and applications can be submitted between October 23, 2023 (starting at 1000 Hrs) and November 21, 2023 (ending at 2355 Hrs). After this deadline, the application link will be disabled.
• Examination Centers: The examination will be conducted across India. You can find the list of exam centers on the TA website at www.jointerritorialarmy.gov.in. Please note that the Territorial Army Directorate reserves the right to conduct the Computer-Based Test (CBT) in different cities based on the number of applicants and other logistical considerations.

Examination Structure and Syllabus:

• Part 1: Reasoning (25 questions, 25 marks)
• Part 2: Elementary Mathematics (25 questions, 25 marks)
• Part 3: General Knowledge (25 questions, 25 marks)
• Part 4: English (25 questions, 25 marks)
• Total: 100 questions, 100 marks
• Standard: The standard of the papers in Elementary Mathematics will be at a Matriculation level. The standard of papers in other subjects will be approximately as expected of a graduate from an Indian university.
• Admit Card: The admit card for the online entrance exam will be available for download online. It will include the candidate’s photograph, scanned signature, date of birth, examination date/time, and the examination center’s name and address. Candidates will also receive email and SMS alerts regarding the exam.

Selection Procedure:

1. Candidates with correct application forms and successful online entrance exam results will undergo intelligence and personality tests at the Service Selection Board.
2. The selection process includes a two-stage assessment based on the Psychological Aptitude Test and Intelligence Test at Service Selection Boards. Candidates who pass the first stage will proceed to the second stage, while those who fail the first stage will be returned.
3. Male and female candidates will be ranked separately based on their total marks in the online entrance exam and SSB tests.

Training and Service:

1. Candidates who qualify will undergo six months of Pre-Commission Training, as per TA Rule 20A, amended on April 29, 2023. Commission in the Territorial Army will be granted upon successful completion of this training.
2. Two months of annual training camp is mandatory each year.

Terms and Conditions:

1. Territorial Army offers part-time service, with two months of training annually, and does not guarantee a full-time career.
2. Pension is not guaranteed and depends on embodied service as per organizational requirements.
3. The commission is granted at the rank of Lieutenant.
4. Pay allowances and privileges are the same as Regular Army Officers when embodied for training and military service.
5. Promotions up to Lieutenant Colonel are based on time scale, while promotions to Colonel and Brigadier are by selection.
6. Officers in the Territorial Army may be called for longer military service as needed.

3. Educational qualification certificates (Matric onwards)
4. Copy of identity proof with photographs
5. Proof of residential address
6. Certificate for proof of age
7. Income proof
8. Latest Income Tax Return (ITR)
9. Affidavit for self-employed candidates

Application Process:

1. The online application window is open from October 23, 2023, to November 21, 2023. Ensure to apply within this timeframe.
2. Provide a valid and active email ID and mobile number for communication.
3. Apply well in advance to avoid last-minute hassles.
4. Carefully select your preferred examination center, as changes will not be granted.
