The application process is completely online via the official SBI Careers portal. Here’s a detailed step-by-step guide to help you through:

  1. Visit: Go to the SBI Career Portal and click on the “Current Openings” section under Advertisement No. CRPD/PO/2025-26/04.
  2. Register: Use a valid email ID and mobile number to register and receive your provisional registration number and password.
  3. Fill the Form: Complete the form with accurate personal, academic, and category details.
  4. Upload Documents:
    • Scanned passport-size photograph
    • Signature in black ink
    • Left-hand thumb impression
    • Hand-written declaration: “I, [Name], [DOB], hereby declare that all the information submitted by me in the application form is correct, true, and valid…”
  5. Payment: Pay the application fee through debit card, credit card, internet banking, or UPI.
  6. Final Submission: Review and apply. A confirmation page and e-receipt will be generated—download and save them.

The recruitment will be conducted in three distinct phases:

Phase-I: Preliminary Exam

  • 100 marks, online mode
  • Sections: English Language, Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning Ability
  • Duration: 1 hour (20 minutes per section)
  • No sectional cut-off; approx. 10x vacancies called for mains.

Phase-II: Main Exam

  • Objective Paper: 200 marks, 3 hours
    • Reasoning & Computer Aptitude: 60 marks
    • Data Interpretation: 60 marks
    • General Awareness: 60 marks
    • English Language: 20 marks
  • Descriptive Paper: 50 marks, 30 minutes
    • Email, Report Writing, Precis, or Situation Analysis
  • Sectional cut-off applicable
  • Marks used for final merit

Phase-III:

  • Psychometric Test (20 marks): Personality profiling
  • Group Exercise (20 marks)
  • Interview (30 marks)
  • Total = 50 marks, added to the Main Exam after normalization

Final Selection: Based on cumulative performance in Phase II & III (normalized to 100 marks).

  1. Single Application Rule: Multiple submissions will lead to cancellation. Only the final valid submission is retained.
  2. Accurate Entries: No changes will be allowed post-submission. Enter all details—category, date of birth, education—carefully.
  3. Document Verification: All original documents will be verified at the interview stage. Mismatch or forgery will lead to disqualification.
  4. Email & Mobile Active: Keep your contact details active throughout the process to receive updates like call letters and instructions.
  5. Category Claims: OBC candidates must produce a Non-Creamy Layer certificate dated after 01.04.2025. EWS candidates must submit a valid Income & Asset Certificate for FY 2024-25.
  6. Identity Proof: Carry the same ID used during registration—Aadhaar/PAN/Passport—with a self-attested photocopy to the exam hall.
  7. Biometric Verification: Thumb impressions and photographs will be taken for verification at multiple stages.
  8. Prohibited Items: Mobile phones, calculators, or any electronic gadgets are strictly banned during exams.

Can candidates in their final year apply for SBI PO 2025?

Yes, they can apply provisionally. However, they must produce proof of graduation on or before 30.09.2025.

Is there a limit to the number of attempts for SBI PO?

Yes. UR/EWS: 4 attempts, OBC: 7 attempts, SC/ST: Unlimited (attempts counted from 2010 onwards).

Will the preliminary exam marks be used in the final selection?

No. Only marks from the Main Exam and the Interview/Group Exercise are considered for final merit.
