• Age limit: A candidate must have attained the age of 21 (twenty-one) years and must not be above the age of 42 (Forty-two) years on the 1st day of January, 2025. This means candidates must have been born not earlier than 2nd January, 1983, and not later than 1st January, 2004.
• Age relaxation:
  • The upper age limit prescribed shall be relaxed by 05 (five) years for candidates belonging to the categories of Socially & Educationally Backward Classes (S.E.B.C.), Scheduled Castes (S.C.), Scheduled Tribes (S.T.), Women & Ex-Servicemen.
  • It is relaxed by 10 years for Persons with Disabilities whose permanent disability is 40% (Forty percent) or more.

8. Permanent Registration: A candidate must have to register himself/herself under the Odisha Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1970 on or before the last date of submission of the online application form.

Candidates who qualify in the written examination will be required to bring a hard copy of the online application form along with copies of the following certificates/documents and their originals for verification of eligibility as per the terms and conditions of the advertisement. The date for document verification shall be notified later. • Candidates who have not been awarded a percentage of marks, but only “GRADE MARKS”, should produce the Conversion Certificate from the concerned University indicating the equivalent percentage of actual marks and the conversion formula. Failing this, their applications shall be rejected.
• Permanent Registration Certificate under the

Odisha Veterinary Practitioners Act, 1970.

• Four recent passport-size photographs within six months (unsigned & unattested), which have been uploaded with the online application form.
• Caste Certificate by birth in support of claim as S.E.B.C/S.C./S.T., wherever applicable. (Note: SEBC certificates issued more than 03 years before the date of submission of the online application will not be considered.)
• Required Odia Test Pass Certificate.
• Disability Certificate (indicating percentage of permanent disability i.e. 40% or more) issued by the concerned Medical Board, wherever applicable. A certificate showing Temporary Disability will not be accepted.
• Ex-Servicemen claiming age relaxation are required to submit/upload the Release Certificate issued as per Orissa Ex-Servicemen (Recruitment to State Civil Services and Posts) Rules, 1985.
• Sports Identity Card/Certificate issued by the Director of Sports, Odisha, wherever applicable.

   • Where the number of vacancies is up to 02 (two), the number of candidates to be called for document verification shall be 05 (five).
   • Where the number of vacancies exceeds 02 (two), the number of candidates to be called for document verification shall be twice the number of vacancies.
3. Merit List Preparation: The Commission shall prepare the list of candidates in order of merit on the basis of the marks secured in the written examination, which shall be equal to the number of advertised vacancies.
4. Final Result: Any details relating to this recruitment, like cut-off marks, answer keys, individual marks, etc., shall only be declared on the website of the Commission after publication of the final results and select list.
