The Institute of Banking Personnel Selection (IBPS) invites applications for Customer Service Associates (CSA) in clerical cadre posts under the Common Recruitment Process (CRP CSA-XV) for vacancies to be filled in Participating Public Sector Banks for the financial year 2026–27. This recruitment involves a two-tier online exam (Preliminary and Main), followed by a local language proficiency test before the final appointment.

₹24,050–₹64,480 (inclusive of increments), plus admissible allowances and benefits per the rules of the participating bank.

  • Minimum: 20 years

    (Candidates should be born between 02.08.1997 and 01.08.2005.)

🎫 Age Relaxation

  • SC/ST: 5 years
  • OBC (Non-Creamy Layer): 3 years
  • PwBD: 10 years
  • Ex-Servicemen: Service + 3 years (up to 50 years max)
  • Widows/Divorced/Legally Separated Women: Up to 35 years (General), 38 (OBC), 40 (SC/ST)

Step-by-step Online Application Procedure:

  1. Visit the official website
  2. Click on “CLICK HERE FOR NEW REGISTRATION” and register using your email and mobile.
  3. Upload the following:
    • Photograph
    • Signature
    • Left Thumb Impression
    • Handwritten Declaration (as per official text)
    • 10th Std Local Language Proof (if applicable)
    • Applicable certificates (PwBD/Ex-Servicemen, etc.)
  4. Fill out the form carefully and preview it before final submission.
  5. Pay the application fee online and take a printout of the application form and fee receipt.

Ensure you apply only for one State/UT. Application to multiple States/UTs will be rejected.

The selection will be carried out in three phases:

  1. Online Preliminary Examination
    • English Language (30 Qs, 30 Marks)
    • Numerical Ability (35 Qs, 35 Marks)
    • Reasoning Ability (35 Qs, 35 Marks)
      (Each section: 20 mins, Total: 60 mins)
  2. Online Main Examination
    • General/Financial Awareness (40 Qs, 50 Marks)
    • General English (40 Qs, 40 Marks)
    • Reasoning & Computer Aptitude (40 Qs, 60 Marks)
    • Quantitative Aptitude (35 Qs, 50 Marks)
      (Each section separately timed; Total: 120 mins.)
  3. Local Language Proficiency Test (LLPT)
    • Conducted after mains and before final joining
    • Only qualifying in nature

Only the marks of the Main Exam will be used for the final merit list.


  • Apply only after ensuring eligibility criteria.
  • Carefully select the State/UT and Local Language – changes are not permitted later.
  • Maintain a valid email ID and mobile number throughout the process.
  • Multiple applications for different States will lead to disqualification.
  • Ensure proper documentation, especially caste, EWS, PwBD, and ex-servicemen certificates in the prescribed format.
  • IBPS reserves the right to allot an exam center different from the State applied, solely for the exam purpose.

Can I apply for more than one State/UT?

No, you can apply only for one State/UT. Multiple applications will be rejected.

Is knowledge of the local language mandatory?

Yes, you must be proficient in the local language of the State/UT you apply for. LLPT will be conducted after the mains.

What is the weightage of the Preliminary Exam in the final selection?

None. Only the Main Exam marks are considered for the final merit listing.
