  • Applications will be accepted online from 13 Feb 24 (1100 hrs) to 27 Feb 24 (1730 hrs).

  • Ensure the validity of E-mail ID and mobile number until 28 Feb 25.
  • Remember and secure your registered E-mail ID and mobile number, as they will be encrypted in the application form.
  • No retrieval of forgotten E-mail ID or mobile number is allowed.

  • Fill only one application per recruitment cycle; the latest filled application will be accepted.

(e) Document Upload:
  • Upload documents in two phases during various stages of recruitment.
  • Required documents include a recent passport-size photograph, live image capture, scanned signature, left-hand thumb impression, date of birth proof, identity proof, service certificate/ NOC (if applicable), and domicile certificate.
  • Additional documents are required if shortlisted for Stage II.
(f) Examination Fee:
  • Pay a fee of Rs. 300/- through online mode, except for SC/ ST candidates exempted from payment.
  • The e-admit card will be issued only to candidates who have successfully paid the examination fee.
(g) Examination City Preferences:
  • Provide five preferences for examination city in the application for stages I and II.
  • The first choice should be within 30 Km from the present/ communication residence.
(h) Important Notes:
  • The fee once paid is non-refundable.
  • SC/ST candidates entitled to fee waiver must ensure accurate documentation to avoid discharge/rejection.
  • Choose examination city preferences carefully to avoid cancellation during Document Verification.
  • Indian Coast Guard reserves the right to allot examination cities for stages I and II at their discretion.

1.       Candidates dismissed on disciplinary grounds from any other service training establishments are ineligible to apply.

2.       Candidates must not have a criminal record, including arrests, convictions, or pending cases in any court. Those facing criminal proceedings or police investigations post registration of FIR are barred from applying.

3.       No criminal case or police investigation after lodging an FIR should be pending against the candidate during the online application filing and various stages of examination/selection up to Stage IV/ joining the training academy. Any candidate convicted by a competent criminal court is ineligible, and their candidature will be canceled/ debarred.

4.       Original certificates and mark sheets submitted at Stage II will be returned post-verification. Original documents submitted at Stage III will be retained by ICG if cleared or returned to the candidate if declared fail.

5.       The candidate’s selection for a specific batch is valid for that batch only. Candidates not appearing in the final merit list cannot claim admission for the next batch and must undergo the selection process afresh if eligible.

6.       Applications sent by post will not be accepted.

7.       E-admit cards for Stage III will be issued to candidates qualifying for Stage II and standing on merit. Candidates must cover their expenses to reach the training establishment (INS Chilka).

8.       No inquiries will be entertained after 30 Dec 2025, regarding recruitment/ enrollment for this batch.

9.       Indiscipline activities during testing procedures will result in disqualification, and ICG’s decision on such matters is final.

10.   Impersonation during the recruitment process is taken seriously. FIR/ criminal proceedings will be initiated against both the applicant and the proxy candidate.

11.   Candidates should not misbehave on the examination premises; misbehavior will result in debarment from current and future ICG examinations.

12.   Applications and original documents will be scrutinized for eligibility, and rejection may occur at any stage, even after induction into service.

13.   Candidates from unrecognized “Open Schools” institutes are not eligible.

14.   Examination city allocation is as per preferences given in the application form, and ICG reserves the right to allocate to any other city if needed.

15.   ICG can cancel the examination at one center and shift it to another date and center.

16.   ICG reserves the right to cancel the entire recruitment of this batch at any stage without assigning a reason.

17.   Use of mobile phones and electronic gadgets during examinations is prohibited, and possession is considered an unfair means, resulting in cancellation of candidature.

18.   ICG cannot guarantee the safekeeping of electronic devices; candidates will not be allowed to leave the examination venue after the written examination begins.

19.   All candidates will be frisked before entering the examination venue.

20.   Candidates are requested to report any suspicious actions by others.

21.   Candidates must have a valid e-mail ID and mobile number for successful online registration. Regularly checking e-mail and the ICG website is crucial for communication updates.

22.   Candidates must fill out the online application form carefully, as no changes are allowed after the closing date. False information leads to cancellation of candidature.

23.   Category details (SC/ ST/ OBC (Non-Creamy)/ EWS) should be filled with care, as no changes are allowed after submission.

24.   Candidates are advised to apply well in time and not wait for the last date.

25.   Failure to report on the specified date and time mentioned on the E-admit card for stages I, II & III leads to cancellation of candidature.

26.   ICG is not responsible for candidates unable to submit applications within the last date or due to reasons beyond their control.

27.   Any corrigendum will be published only on the website, and candidates are urged to regularly visit for updates.

28.   Candidates should check FAQs on the recruitment website and comply during the online application submission and various examination stages.

29.    Candidates must remember their mobile number and e-mail ID, as correspondence will be through them. Post-submission, this information is visible only in encrypted form.

30.   Uploading of documents is restricted up to downloading the E-admit card for Stage II; failure leads to candidature cancellation.

31.   Candidates with expiring category certificates {SC/ ST/ OBC (Non-creamy layer)/ EWS} before Stage II and Stage III should bring renewed/ fresh certificates.

32.   Fraudulently claiming SC/ ST/ OBC (Non-creamy)/ EWS status or any non-bona fide benefit results in debarment from current and future ICG examinations.

33.   Document verification occurs at multiple stages; candidates are advised to check updates regularly.

34.   Candidates must check common reasons for rejection on the ICG website before filling out the online application.

35.   Candidates are urged to submit online applications well before the closing date.

36.   Candidates should not lose original documents uploaded in the online application; failure to present them will lead to cancellation.

37.   The date of birth and gender cannot be changed; any wrong information results in cancellation.

38.   Candidates are provided with a print preview option before the final submission to certify correctness.

39.   Candidates get an edit/correction window post-registration for 02- 03 days to correct mistakes.

40.   Entering incomplete/incorrect marks or entering marks for only a few subjects leads to candidature cancellation.

41.   Candidates with Aadhaar must upload it as the first option for identity proof during the online application.

42.   Persons with any kind of disability are ineligible to apply in ICG, being an Armed Force under the Ministry of Defence.
