General Instructions for Indian Economic Statistical Service Examination 2024

1. Apply Online:
   • Visit https://www.upsconline.nic.in to apply.
   • Register at the One Time Registration (OTR) platform on the website.
   • Fill out the online application for the examination.
2. Profile Modification:
   • Modify your OTR profile once in a lifetime.
   • Changes are allowed till 07 days after the first final application deadline.
   • The last date for modifications: is 07.05.2024.
3. Application Form Correction:
   • Correct application form details within 07 days after application window closure (from 01.05.2024 to 07.05.2024).
   • OTR profile changes must be made separately on the OTR platform.
4. Withdrawal of Application:
   • Applications cannot be withdrawn after submission.
5. Photo ID Requirement:
   • Prepare one of the following: Aadhaar Card, Voter Card, PAN Card, Passport, Driving License, or any State/Central Government-issued Photo ID.
   • Upload a scanned copy of the selected Photo ID with the application.
6. Application Deadline:
   • Submit online applications by 30th April 2024, 18:00 Hours.
7. E-Admission Certificate:
   • Eligible candidates receive e-Admission Certificates a week before the exam.
   • Download from https://www.upsconline.nic.in.
8. Special Instructions:
   • Read specific guidelines for different test types (Conventional and Objective).
9. OMR Sheet Instructions:
   • Use a black ballpoint pen only for OMR sheets.
   • Ensure accurate encoding to avoid rejection.
10. Penalty for Wrong Answers:
    • Negative marking applies to wrong answers in Objective Type Paper.
11. Facilitation Counter:
    • Contact UPSC’s Facilitation Counter for assistance.
12. Mobile Phones Banned:
    • Strict prohibition on mobile phones and electronic devices during the exam.
    • Avoid bringing banned items to the exam venue.
13. Photograph Upload Instructions:
    • Upload a recent photograph with specified criteria.
    • Appearance must match the photograph during all stages of the examination.
14. Exam Venue Arrival:
    • Arrive at the exam venue at least 30 minutes before the session starts.
15. Question Paper Representation Portal (QPRep):
    • Submit questions and representations within a specified time frame after the exam.
    • Use the Online Question Paper Representation Portal (QPRep) for submissions.

How  to Apply for Indian Economic Statistical Service Examination 2024

1. How to Apply:
   • Apply online at https://www.upsconline.nic.in.
   • Register on the One Time Registration (OTR) platform.
   • Modifications to the OTR profile are allowed once, within 07 days after the application deadline.
   • Corrections to the application form are permitted for 07 days after the application window closes (01.05.2024 to 07.05.2024).
   • Withdrawal of applications after submission is not permitted.
   • Detailed instructions are available on the website.
2. Application Submission:
   • All candidates, including those in government or private employment, must submit applications directly to the Commission.
   • Government employees must inform their Head of Office/ Department about their application.
   • The choice of examination center should be carefully selected during application.
3. Verification and Eligibility:
   • Candidates must ensure they meet all eligibility conditions.
   • Admission is provisional; candidature can be canceled if eligibility conditions are not met.
   • Required documents must be submitted soon after the written examination results are declared.
4. Required Documents:
   • Attested copies of the age certificate, educational qualifications, caste/ category certificate (if applicable), fee concession certificate (if applicable), and disability certificate (if applicable) will be required.
   • Successful candidates will be informed electronically to submit the Detailed Application Form (DAF) online.
   • Original documents must be presented during the interview.
   • Incorrect claims may lead to disciplinary action by the Commission.
