  1. Online Selection Test
    • Two parts:
      • Subject Knowledge Test (SKT)
      • Executive Aptitude Test (EAT)
    • Candidates must qualify both sections separately.
  2. Group Discussion and Personal Interview
    • Shortlisted candidates will be called based on merit.
    • Minimum qualifying marks required in GD/PI.
  3. Final Selection
    • Based on performance in the written test and GD/PI.
    • Medical fitness as per NTPC norms is mandatory.
  • Only Indian nationals are eligible.
  • All qualifications must be from recognized institutions.
  • Admit cards will be available online only.
  • TA/DA will not be paid for appearing in the online test.
  • Candidates must ensure eligibility before applying.
  • NTPC reserves the right to cancel or modify the recruitment process.

Can final-year students apply?

No. Only candidates with the required qualification and percentage as on the last date of application are eligible.

Is there a service bond?

Yes. ₹5,00,000 for General/EWS/OBC and ₹2,50,000 for SC/ST/PwBD. Minimum 3 years of service post-training.

What is the training period and pay scale?

One-year training with a starting basic pay of ₹40,000/month. Total pay scale: ₹40,000 – ₹1,40,000.
