South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL)

South Eastern Coalfields Limited (SECL), a subsidiary of Coal India Limited (CIL), invites applications from internal departmental employees of SECL, other CIL subsidiaries, and CIL Headquarters, Kolkata for the posts of Mining Sirdar (T&S Grade-C) and Junior Overman (T&S Grade-C). This internal selection is part of the manpower budget for 2025–26 and aims to fill vacancies across underground and surface mines. Eligible candidates must meet the prescribed qualifications and experience criteria as of 30 September 2025.

• Diploma in Mining Engineering (3 years)
• First Aid Certificate

🧭 Selection Process: SECL Internal Recruitment 2025

• Written Test (OMR-based MCQ format)
  • Total: 100 marks
  • No negative marking
  • Sections:
    • Mental Ability/Quantitative Reasoning: 20 marks
    • General Awareness & CIL/SECL Knowledge: 20 marks
    • Subject Knowledge: 60 marks
• Qualifying Marks:
  • General: 35%
  • SC/ST: 30%
• Merit Panel Preparation:
  • Based on written test scores

⚠️ Important Instructions

• Only permanent and regular employees who have completed training are eligible.
• Employees with poor ACR (Annual Confidential Report) for FY 2024–25 will be disqualified.
• Minimum attendance requirements apply:
  • 240 days (surface) or 190 days (underground) for FY 2024
  • Pro-rata attendance for partial FY 2025
• Incomplete or unclear document uploads will lead to rejection.
• Any false information or concealment will result in disqualification and disciplinary action.
• SECL reserves the right to modify or cancel the notification at any time.
