🧓 Age Limit (as of July 1, 2025):

  • Assistant Editor & Assistant Director: 30 to 40 years
  • Senior Court Assistant: Max 35 years
  • Assistant Librarian: Max 30 years

🔁 Age Relaxation:

  • SC/ST/OBC/PH/Ex-Servicemen/Dependent of Freedom Fighters: As per Government of India rules
  • No upper age limit for departmental candidates of SCI
  • No relaxation for candidates from other Government Departments

Eligible candidates must apply online only through the Supreme Court of India’s recruitment portal: www.sci.gov.in. The application process consists of two steps:

🔹 Step 1: Registration

  1. Visit the SCI official site and click on “To Register.”
  2. Provide personal details and verify with the OTP sent to your email and mobile.
  3. After successful registration, receive your Application Sequence No. and password via email/SMS.

🔹 Step 2: Online Application

  1. Log in using your credentials and complete personal, educational, and other required details.
  2. Upload required documents, including a recent photograph, signature, and certificates.
  3. Preview and finalize your application.
  4. Pay the application fee online through the integrated payment gateway.

⚠️ Note:

  • Ensure the correctness of details before submission.
  • Multiple applications for the same post will lead to disqualification; only the latest valid application will be considered.
  • Retain a printout of the submitted form and payment receipt for future reference.

  1. Scanned recent passport-size photograph (100–200 KB, JPG format)
  2. Scanned signature (80–150 KB, JPG format)
  3. Certificates for:
    • Class 10th
    • Essential qualification
    • Experience
    • Caste (if applicable)
    • Disability (if applicable)
  4. All documents should be between 100 KB and 1000 KB in PDF/JPG/JPEG format.

Assistant Editor

  • Written Test:
    • Part A: Precis Writing & Editorial Skills (100 Marks, 2 Hours)
    • Part B: Law & Constitution (100 Marks, 2 Hours)
    • Minimum qualifying marks per section: 50
  • Interview: 25 Marks (Qualifying: 13)

Assistant Director/Senior Court Assistant (Museum)

  • Written Test: 100 Marks (General Aptitude + Museology)
  • Computer Test: Qualifying
  • Interview: 25 Marks

Assistant Librarian

  • Written Test: 100 Marks (General + Library Management)
  • Computer Test: 100 Marks
  • Interview: 25 Marks

Shortlisting Ratios:

  • Written to Interview: 1:3 (Editor)
  • Written to Computer Test: 1:10 (Others)
  • Computer to Interview: 1:3

  • Candidates must apply separately for each post.
  • Applications must be complete and submitted online; no hard copies are required.
  • Admit Cards, exam schedules, and updates will be available only at www.sci.gov.in and via email/SMS.
  • Candidates must retain the Application Number for downloading the Admit Card and for further reference.
  • No request for category change will be entertained after submission.
  • Only candidates meeting all eligibility criteria at every stage will be considered for the final panel.
  • Misconduct or the submission of false information may result in disqualification or legal action.
  • No TA/DA will be paid for any stage of the recruitment.

Can I apply for more than one post?

Yes, but you must submit a separate application and pay the fee separately for each post.

How will I get my Admit Card?

Admit Cards must be downloaded from www.sci.gov.in. No hard copies will be sent.

Can I edit my application after I submit it?

No. Editing is only allowed before the final submission. Review all information carefully before clicking “Submit.”
