UPSC Online Job 2024 How  to Apply

1. Application Submission:
   • Apply online via UPSC Online. Applications submitted through other means will be rejected.
2. Document Upload:
   • Upload supporting documents for claims made in the application (e.g., Date of Birth, Experience, Qualifications) in PDF format. File size should not exceed 1 MB per document and 2 MB for the “UPLOAD OTHER DOCUMENT” module. Use a 200 dpi grey scale for scanning.
   • Do not upload Pay Slips, Resumes, Appointments, Relieving Letters, or unsigned Experience Certificates.
3. Required Documents:
   • a) Proof of Date of Birth: Matriculation/ 10th Standard certificate or mark sheet indicating date of birth.
   • b) Educational Qualification: Degree/Diploma certificate or provisional certificate with mark sheets for all academic years.
   • c) Equivalent Qualifications: Order /letter indicating the authority under which a qualification is treated as equivalent.
   • d) Experience Certificate: Issued in the prescribed format, mentioning duration of employment, pay details, and nature of duties.
   • e) Caste Certificate: For SC/ ST/ OBC candidates, in the prescribed format, including a declaration for OBC candidates about not belonging to the creamy layer.
   • f) Disability Certificate: For PwBD candidates, issued by a Medical Board constituted by the Central/State Government.
   • g) Other Claims: Documentary support for any additional claims.
   • Note: If documents are in a language other than Hindi or English, upload a duly attested transcript.
4. Email Correspondence:
   • Provide a correct and active email address. All communication will be via email, including interview schedules and document submission requirements.
5. Multiple Posts:
   • Apply separately for each post and pay the application fee for each.
6. Printout of Application:
   • After submission, take a printout of the final Online Recruitment Application.
7. Submission of Documents:
   • Do not send printouts or documents to the Commission by post or hand. Bring printouts and documents if called for an interview.
8. Multiple Applications:
   • If multiple applications are submitted for the same post, ensure the one with the higher “Application Number” is complete. Only the application with the higher number will be considered.
9. Early Submission:
   • Apply well before the closing date to avoid any last-minute issues.

Other Information/ Instructions:

1. Application Submission:
   • All candidates, whether in government service, government-owned organizations, or private employment, must apply online directly to the Commission. Those in regular government service must declare in writing to their Head of Office/Department that they have applied for the selection.
2. Eligibility Determination:
   • Eligibility of all candidates will be determined as of the closing date for submitting the Online Recruitment Application on the UPSC website.
3. Equivalent Qualifications:
   • If claiming an equivalent qualification, candidates must provide an order/letter indicating the authority under which it has been treated as equivalent, or the application will be rejected.
4. Interview Attendance:
   • Candidates may need to attend a personal interview at a location fixed by the Commission. Travel expenses are not covered but a contribution towards Second Class Mail railway fare will be provided. Details will be given when candidates are called for an interview.
5. Travel Expenses Contribution:
   • For interviews in Delhi, travel expense contributions will be paid on the spot if conditions are met. For other locations, contributions will be sent by Money Order. Candidates preferring bank transfers must submit a canceled cheque with their TA claims.
6. No Assurance of Selection:
   • Being summoned for an interview does not guarantee selection. Appointment orders will be issued by the Government to selected candidates.
7. Medical Examination:
   • Selected candidates must be in sound health and be prepared to undergo a medical examination as required by the Government.
8. Result Notification:
   • Final results will be announced on the UPSC website and in Employment News. Interim inquiries about results will not be entertained, and no correspondence will be entered into regarding non-selection.
9. Higher Initial Pay:
   • The Commission may grant higher initial pay to candidates deemed meritorious in the interview.
10. Canvassing:
    • Any form of canvassing will disqualify a candidate.
11. Mobile Phones:
    • Mobile phones are banned in the UPSC examination/interview hall campus.
12. Gender Balance:
    • The Government strives for a gender-balanced workforce and encourages women candidates to apply.
13. Guidance and Clarification:
    • For guidance/information/clarification, candidates can contact UPSC’s Facilitation Counter near gate ‘C’ of its campus in person or over the phone at 011-23385271/011-23381125/011-23098543 on working days between 10.00 hrs and 17.00 hrs.
14. Proforma Formats:
    • Prescribed proforma formats for various certificates are available on the UPSC website under the heading “Recruitment” followed by “Forms of Certificates.” Candidates may download and fill them out accordingly.
